So I decided to spray my bag with apple guard because I was afraid of the dye in denim transferring onto my new bag.

well I brought the bag inside and noticed these darks spots on the handles. I'm hoping these areas just got too saturated and need to dry. Its only been an hour since I sprayed.

has anyone had experience with getting their b-bags wet? is my bag ruined?

Apple guard tends to be a little on the greasy side and may take awhile to dry. I have switched from AG to Wilson's. Wilson's dries much faster and doesn't spot like that. Stick it in front of a fan, maybe it will dry.

Jem,

Don't worry, I sprayed AG on my 05 rouge, and it only darkened the color temporarily. Let your bag sit out overnight, and it should dry and lighten up by the morning. Good luck sweetie!

Not to freak you out, but I know some gals from the Vuitton forum who have sprayed vachetta with AG and it didn't completely disappear.

I imagine vachetta is more sensitive (due to patina)...

On a high note, I have definitely doused my bbags with AG and have never had any problems
