So there's more that transpired since my last update...another plot twist...

After I got off the phone, I started pacing around---a nervous wreck---back and forth like a looney; I probably wore a hole in my new carpet...lol.

This just didn't sit right with me; so I called my SA and shyly asked "so what does this mean; am I doomed; by me not accepting the B30, did I just shoot myself in the foot?" He assured me that not everything works out and this isn't the end of the world...but objectively told me that this does kind of set me back a little.

I cringed...what have I just done? Did I ruin my chances...am I an idiot for refusing my very first QB offer? How much more money do I have to spend, lol.

So my SA said that bags are very limited and sporadic, but he'll keep an eye out for something in my size. Could take a month, could take a year...

So now I need to go to GNC to buy 3 big bottles of Melatonin to help me sleep the rest of the year, haha.

I'm cheering for you and am hopeful that the next call will be for the 35 or 40 of your dreams! I truly believe it won't take too long to get what you want. Your SA appreciated the fact that you turned it down for someone else to buy their dream bag. It's annoying when people buy things just to buy them. You definitely did the right thing. If your dream bag is a B35 or B40, I'm sure it will come in less than a month dear. Not a super popular bag size right now... if your SA offered you a hot bag (the one you declined and one I dream about hahhaha), he will offer you that one in no time... it's your turn to get a bag.

That can be true, but also one of the down-sides with not 'going with the flow' is that sadly less of what's not popular is available. Plenty of men ask for 35s/40s too.

I really hope @FrenchNewbie gets her most desired bag ASAP.

OK, so....

1) Most SAs (the vast majority) want to make their customers happy, or at the very least shut them up for a while

2) You were offered a popular size in a popular color/HW and you want a less popular size. This means your SA can make another client very very happy, and can probably find you another bag reasonably soon. It is a win-win for the SA.

3) Given that you are sleepless, pacing, and calling back, your SA is likely trying to manage your expectations by underpromising. I would not stress so much.

4) It's a bag.

Don't stress. Your dream bag will come. I decline 3 K28s before getting the exact one I want. And in the last 12m I've declined 3 B30s and today a K28. I am driving my SA mad and today she asked again what do I exactly want. I was very specific all along (so I thought) and have slowly added more colors at her request. But end of the day why spend your hard earn cash and pre-spend (!!) on something you don't love? At least now your SA knows exactly what you really really want

hahaha I have been told the same when I've passed up bags. Then I start googling and reassure myself I have made the right decision. lol and that's how I stumbled upon this thread!
There are different bags for different people!
If B35+B40 is what you really want then it will be worth the wait.
And if you got the B30 now, will you still want a B35/40?

You have to stick to YOUR guns and YOUR wishlist, not what others use. I love my B30 Etoupe GHW and it is my most-used B30, but if I were to replace it it would be with a different color/leather. If what you wish for is a B35 or even 40, the 30 will be much much too small for you even if "others love it".
