Then we get to 'the other' box...
He takes off the wrapper from the box, removes the top, and extracts this this huge item in a dustcover...
He rolls the dustcover down and I see handles...omg, I start sweating---didn't know whether to be overjoyed or nervous or be giddy with excitement, or if I should just faint!
It seems like it took FOREVER to disrobe the bag...but once he did, I was in love---my heart was pounding and maybe a small tear formed in my eyes!
Like a proud parent, I had just met my new baby and got to hold him in my arms: a beautiful Birkin 35 in Gold with GHW (I love the white contrast stitching!!!)
Ohh give them a break.... they are over the moon with their first Birkin. You remember what that was like? Congrats to @FrenchNewbie. Love the gold on gold.... much better than etude IMHO.

Omg you guys.... it's a freaking online forum where handbag/luxury obsessed people post for FUN, and share in the joy of these material things that they love. Let's say this again: Fun. Joy. Material (i.e. these are not necessities) things. It's not that serious.... calm down.

I'm glad you didn't settle. I recently declined an offer as well that many would consider a very desirable constance. It was a very casual conversation by text lol.
