thanks lara :) no i totally know i might be a little annoyed too and thats why i wanted to offer her something, i mean i know its not a lot but its just a thank you for holding it you know sorry for the trouble :)

and im glad that comes as the good thing to do in everyones eyes :) thanks!

Bangles are very much in this year. Chanel bangles cost more -- $350+.
And I feel sorry for the seller who held it for you this long. IMO you shouldn't ask someone to hold something for you unless you are sure you are going to go through with the sale. She will likely take it with good grace, but will be annoyed I am sure.

if that bracelet was some SUNGLASSES id be drooling on the floor and running out to by matching pairs for me and roomie! goodness not so much but hey that print on some pimp shades heck ya!
.:GayMan:.

Hi!

I think if you know you are going to wear it forever then BUY it!

However, you sound very hesitant so i think its a good thing that you are holding off! In the meantime, try looking for something else that you would like to put that money towards and then you won't feel as bad. (This is my method to calm my madness)

As for the sales assistant, I think its a nice gesture to give her some money. It might be a good idea to let her know that you will go to her for your next lv purchase! As a sales associate she should understand that people change their minds. Ultimately, it's YOUR money and you have very right to change your mind!

Good Luck!

well thanks for your opinion,,,,obviously iw ouldnt have asked her to hold it if i wasnt sure but at the last moment i wasnt sure

maybe to someone who owns a birkin $290 is pennies but for me its a LOT of $ and i really was sure i wanted it but its too much for me to regret spending and i cant return it and i panicked

i feel horrible about it ive never ever asked that of someone and decided not to get it and i am sure she wont be happy And that makes me feel even worse

now i feel even worse, i feel like i should jsut buy it so that she isnt angry
ughhhhhhh

You can't put your own well being on the line, not just to avoid risk making someone a bit angry. You're being extremely nice by offering money for her time. People can back out sales at the last minute for a myriad of reasons, and honestly - if I was going to sell someone something that they would regret financially, I would MUCH rather them back out then to go through with the sale out of feeling bad.

I don't think that you made a horrible decision... Just know that you'll have to live with whatever decision you make. (i.e., don't ask her to sell it to you again if you turn her down once... ;) )

The bracelet is cute. I wouldn't spend that much on it, simply because I don't think it would go with my lifestyle right now. I would much rather put the money towards a handbag or sunglasses or gorgeous Chanel necklace, etc.

Everyone has their own tastes, but in the end - get the things that are going to make you happy, not other people. (That's the purchase part and after the purchase.) :smile1: Good luck!

The bracelet is cute and I think it is worth it. But if you are this stressed over it, perhaps it isn't right for you. It is likely an SA cannot take money for holding an item.

Items get held all the time for people who do not buy them, but usually only for 24-48 hours. Next time before you hold something, try to make a decision sooner.

Sounds like you've already decided it's not for you at this time and you are more stressed about the seller's reaction than your decision. The seller won't be surprised since you've already had her hold it for 2 weeks.... Remember, it's a bracelet not a cupcake: it doesn't go stale - she will just sell it to someone else! Don't stress!

thanks everyone so much for your help

i decided not to get it, i sent her $15 as a thank you very much

and she was very nice about it

of course annoyed that i had said i wanted it for so long and backed out but very nice about it!!!! :)

Thanks again everyone !
