OJ Simpson 1947-2024

That must be it, or else it is a very impressive amount/duration of denial. I can't imagine what those poor kids went through during the criminal trial, thinking about the possibility of losing the only parent they had left, while having to grapple with the horrors he allegedly committed on their mother.
And add on the things they've learned about their parents...truth and gossip. What I've always found most interesting in all of this is that OJ took no accountability, that I'm aware of, for any of his actions that led to the complete left turn his life took. He went from being a darling loved athlete to the most hated over night.

Paroled OJ Simpson was drinking the juice of an adult beverage kind in Las Vegas on Friday while chatting up women during his evening on the town.

The 70-year-old felon seems to be making the most of his new freedom as he ordered drinks and took pictures with fans at the upscale Grape Street Wine Bar & Cellar.

Simpson seemed to be relishing the attention of the ladies in the house as he talked with an array of women and appeared animated during his outing.

I can't see OJ staying quiet....he loves the limelight.

It's quite silly and hardly newsworthy. However, the pretty blond must be avenged!

I personally believe that OJ was innocent of the murders. They had a toxic relationship, but OJ loved Nichole. Besides, my dad was a certified drug and gang expert on the LAPD and the Colombian necklace/ neck tie is a direct link to the illicit drug industry, specifically cocaine in this instance. Also even though it was inadmissible in court, my grandfather's nephew gave OJ several polygraphs test related to the murdered and he passed.
OJ was exonerated for the murders, yet they crucified him in civil court to get a monetary judgement, and the media always portrays him negatively. In a way I feel sorry for him because he is being victimized even though some of his circumstances are due to his poor judgement. The poor guy was trying to steal his own stuff, that's a crime that many of us would probably consider.
I'm glad he's out he's an old man I hope he lives a peaceful existence until he passes. In the end when he meets his maker God will know the truth.

OJ was not exonerated - he was not convicted because the jury found that the State did not prove it's case beyond a reasonable doubt. His legal team badly out-lawyered the DA's team.

I watched a lot of the criminal trial, but don't know much about the specifics of the civil trial where he was found liable for the deaths of Ron Goldman and Nicole. But the standard of proof between civil cases and criminal cases in Calif. can account for the different results, as well as differences in the make-up of the two juries.

I don't think that the media portrayed him negatively before his trials, quite the opposite in fact. Not only was he a star athlete in the US's most popular sport for decades. But he had a very lucrative contract for Hertz and even a few roles in rather silly movies. He was no great actor, but the movies were more for fun.

One final thought - I hope that most of us would not do what he did to try to get our stuff back. He should have tried to report the theft to the cops and/or filed a lawsuit. Breaking into a hotel room and using guns to take stuff back is never a good idea.

I do hope that he will stay out of Calif and try to live quietly and get to know his kids again.

OJ Simpson proved to be a real treat on Tuesday night as he celebrated Halloween by handing out candy, photos and even autographs to neighbors in his Las Vegas neighborhood.

The 71-year-old felon seemed to be having just as much fun as his visitors too and was seen smiling as he greeted each new group, just one month after he was released from Lovelock Correctional Center.

He even dressed up for the evening as a ghost of sorts - throwing on his old '32' jersey from the Buffalo Bills.

Simpson was unable to keep the illusion of youth alive for too long sadly, as he had to toss on reading glasses to sign one young boy's football.

You can’t be serious? So the drug dealers stole his blood and proceeded to splatter it all over the crime scene. Right.

He abused her then brutally slaughtered her!

There were no traces of illicit drugs found in either victims system.

But I am.
My beliefs are based off of all evidence as well as direct info from people with inside knowledge of the crime, case, and evidence. I'm not merely forming a conclusion based off a biased trial likecnany others.

Are you serious? Nicole was a known cocaine user with a considerable debt as a result. Testimony of her drug usage was barred from inclusion during the trial but it was known amongst law enforcement and the like.

I also don't deny the abuse in the relationship, it went both ways. Nicole was also cited and removed due to abuse towards him, they were toxic together.

A synonym for exonerate is acquit, OJ was acquitted when he was found not guilty in the criminal trial.

I am from California, during the trial every news station in the state ran negative reports on OJ. They were digging up anything they could find on him for decades; Nicole on the other hand, was portrayed as an angel even though her behavior in various clubs was notoriously bad.

When I said most of us would do X I meant get our stuff back, I didn't necessarily mean through guns and kidnapping. But if someone stole my valuable possessions and I knew where they were I would notify police but I bet I would beat them there. I'm proactive.

First of all, the ‘Colombian necklace’ simply means ‘having your throat cut’. People have been cutting other people’s throats since WAY before South American drug dealers decided to give it a special nickname.
The ‘Colombian necklace’ is not anatomically possible the way it is done on tv shows. You cannot reach into someone’s neck and pull their tongue backwards. Sorry. That is an urban legend.

Also, there is no actual evidence that even if someone DID actually have the time to sit there long enough to cut their tongues out through the mouth and then place them into the throat, which is what would have had to happen for your assertion to be factual, that either victim actually had that done to them.

Cochran never actually claimed that had happened. He ASKED a witness IF they had ever HEARD of the ‘Colombian necklace/necktie’. That is NOT the same as saying it happened, it’s shifty lawyer tricks. And it wasn’t used as an actual theory in court. So. Please produce any evidence you have that the victims had their tongues removed and staged deliberately. As this would be entirely new evidence that the defense never produced, you would probably get pretty famous.
People cutting others’ throats in anger is not new. Drug dealers didn’t invent it.
And, as others pointed out, it doesn’t seem that Colombian hit men would coincidentally have had access to OJ’s blood in order to leave it at the scene and would have had the time to seek out OJ’s house to sneak onto the property and plant HER blood at HIS place, in his car.
A drug hit, they don’t care about pinning it on someone else, they’re not out to set someone up. They just do it and walk away.

It’s one thing to say ‘I think he didn’t do it’. Okay. But ‘drug dealers did it’ is not supportable. Cochran spread a rumor with no actual evidence. Anywhere else, people just call that gossip.
