You're right, I meant they didn't fight harder.
They did everything they legally could. When O.J. got off for the murders the grandparents refused to give the kids to him and they dragged out the custody fight for a year. But when the judge outright said she didn’t see any risk of harm to the kids by being with their father, there was nothing left that they could do. It was the 90s and the rights of the parent was the main consideration.

“During the trial, attorneys for the Browns, Roit and Eric L. Lagin, focused on allegations of domestic abuse involving Simpson and his ex-wife. Citing experts, Roit said during closing arguments that witnessing domestic abuse or its results is harmful for children.

But the judge wrote in her opinion that the attorneys for the Browns had “failed to demonstrate clear and convincing evidence” that giving custody to their father would be harmful to the children.”

this isn't going to go over well with the public - not that they care
They are also having him cremated and have refused to have his brain examined. They don’t want there to be any proof if he didn’t have CTE and he was just a vile man.

Is this even a possibility that OJ had a healthy brain?
Why not? History is full of wife murderers who never had a concussion. Nobody wants to believe that a man who lay in wait for his ex-wife with a long, serrated knife and hacked her up had a normal appearing brain but it’s certainly possible. Evil wouldn’t show up in an autopsy.

Piers may not be a 'popular kid', but he can put on an interesting debate every now and then.

"He Should Have Died In Prison!" O.J. Simpson Lawyers Debate

"Piers Morgan Uncensored holds a debate on notorious American football player and actor O.J. Simpson following his death, with lawyer Alan Dershowitz, who was part of Simpson's defence team, lawyer Gloria Allred, who represented the family of O.J's murdered ex wife Nicole Simpson Brown, academic and author Marc Lamont Hill and author Jeffrey Toobin."

No way he had a healthy brain, but that doesn't excuse murdering and abusing others.
I know too much about CTE & TBI's with too many of my very close friends that have these terrible injuries, none of them murder folks or beat their spouses.

100% agreed. In full disclosure--I am not an expert on murderers. By any stretch. Whatsoever. At all. But my impression is that at least most people who willingly kill others do not have what we consider a "healthy" brain. Excusing murderers and abusers due to a lack of brain health is an "argument" some want to use to exonerate murderers and abusers. In OJ Simpson's case, he had plenty of money for therapy and everything else to deal with anger issues. IMO he was a narcissistic person who felt justified in killing his ex-wife because he was Mr. Important and he was angry. And he felt the public should have believed him because he was Mr. Important. Sick!
