My screwing around is sanctioned by my supervisor. I'd talk to my coworkers but I can't get a word in edge-wise.

I bet this was a weird workweek with 4th of July on Wednesday!!
I used to be in a job where it was pretty easy to slack off, as I wasn't co-located with a lot of my team.
In my last consulting gig (the one that just ended after 8 months) there was no WAY I could (or would want to) slack off. I'm paid for hours worked, plus as an outside contractor you are watched more closely than the fulltime team members. AND, most people are in open cubes so surfing, checking home email, etc is extremely frowned upon. Gotta stay focused and produce!
