oh no :sad: this is why i'm always scared to buy second hand...and no one has ever given me a gift (other than mom and dad who always buy from boutiques) of LV so i wouldn't expect someone to give me an authentic one. it just sucks that if you want something from a few years ago you gotta go second hand... :crybaby:

Yep! If I could afford it, I'd get that grafitti speedy on Let Trade, but I overdid my Vuitton purchases this year, am considering an always coveted cherry blossom pochette as a replacement also...:sad: But, I love grafitti cause it's so arty, John Michele Basquiat... and hot chick....:supacool:

Whoa, that's really scary :wtf: I'm so sorry you have to go through this. I really hope that SA you talked to just didn't have any clue.

Could you maybe take detailed pictures and post them here or in the Authenticate This thread? I'm super curious to see more of the bag because so far all the fakes I've seen have been rather obvious :yes:

That sucks, could you talk to your friend who gave it to you? Would that seem uncomfortable? I guess now you will have to start looking again for another one, but first try another LV store. Good luck

oh, no...what a pain. If the SA in vegas was the repair specialist, she probably knows her stuff....but if it was a regular SA, I would take it with a grain of salt....I know sometimes when I carry my cb pap in the store I get weird looks from the newer SAs...I know they think it's fake...lol...you can just tell by the looks on their faces :rolleyes:.

I know you deal with Angela at VF sometimes, why not send it to her? She can have Cecelia, the repair specialist at VF look it over for you....or if you want to send it to me, I would be happy to take it in for you.

thats what they say instead of saying it's a fake. I took in a bag to get repaired and while i was waiting for them to help me a sales repair girl was on the phone telling a customer " it's not one of our products" and im guessing the person was saying it was real b/c she kept telling her that 2-3 more times...Does the lv store where you went to have there own repair deptartment in the store where you hand in the bag ??
maybe you should tell your friend who gave it to you and see what she says

Geesh Mary, Thank YOU! That is sooo sweet of you to offer, I couldn't possibly impose but thanks again. I think I will give Angela a call, and send to her, maybe she'll even send me a replacement cover, which wasn't returned...

Kitty LaRoche, I think I will take some detailed pics of it tonight and post in the authenticate thread... thanks for the suggestion...

yeah, well my gf gave it to me like in 2000, the year that grafitti came out... I had recently bought some fake Pradas on ebay back then(not really knowing much about designer bags) and when she sent me this one for Christmas my ex and I were both like, this is the real deal. I was sooo excited, and knew it would only fuel my passion for LV, so I put it away. When she came to visit, she had hers and could not believe how great mine looked since I hadn't been using it and hers was totally worn it. I told her proudly, this is my collection: it was the only one I had at the time... since then, she has seen my excitement with my growing collection... I doubt she would have thought it was a fake if she gave it to me, but who knows? That really isn't the point to me. I guess it probably is a fake :sad:but I'm gonna post pics anyway, and see what the forum says and then send to Angela... it's a fabulous fake if it is, and it got me into LV, so I'll just replace it with the real deal.... sigh.... I looked at Karen Cooper today and no grafitti pochettes yet, but there's a cherry blossom. Will keep you all posted, as mentioned before, thank GOD for the gorgeous grafitti alma....

and, thanks for everyone's input
