I wonder how much weight the second flap adds. It’s cute but I think I struggle with Chanel’s double flap too much to ever fully embrace this new Moynat style, sadly. I’m sure some people who don’t care for top handles will be thrilled with this new addition though.
Its pretty! But I think I’d like it more without the double flap…I’ll have to try it out to see how fussy it is before I can say for sure. Is Do you know if it’s divided inside? That would be a definite deal breaker for me. And do we know price point yet? Thanks for the new pictures!
I think the double flap takes away the form of “m” shape and the “w” (upside down “m”). I like the reporter without the top handle.
What were they thinking? I dont see any point of the double flap.
I like it and am a bit intrigued how it compares, but love the Gabrielle Reporter more.

I asked my Moynat SA because I also thought it was Barenia. It’s not Barenia but some type of smooth calf leather that supposedly won’t scratch as easily as Barenia.
true. they could've left the front pocket without a flap since it's already covered by the bigger flap
Plus not only will it add to the weight of the bag… it will bump up the price because of that peice of extra leather.

After reviewing the photos, I’m on the fence about the flap and the front bottom stitching. I used my finger to cover the bottom stitching and I like the look of the second flap. This bag’s looks echo its Celine cousin — the Triomphe bag.
I hope the above video shows you the interior. It’s one main compartment with two slit pockets — one rear exterior and one under the snapped flap. The price is $4400. It’s coming out in a tricolor option and black.

I’m not a double flap person, but it kind of works on this bag because the bottom flap snaps closed — that keeps the larger opening from being fussy. I don’t like battling with excessive leather when I open a bag.

I don't like double flaps, but I think it works with the M closure because my initials are MM and I like almost anything Moynat has done with the M closure. 
The one positive I can think of with the double flap is with that snap closure, that pocket is secure secure.
