For those of you who own Gabrielle and Gaby bag, which do you prefer? And why?
I don't have both, only the Gaby.
It's funny because initially I was all about the Gabrielle. It's a beautiful sleek silhouette that is very put-together.
But then I later changed my mind due to 2 things:
- I wanted something with a little more flexibility. The Gabrielle is a much dressier bag IMO but I wanted to be able to wear a bag dressed up or dressed down.
- I already have a bag with basically the same silhouette and that to me is far too close to have both. I personally don't like bags that are too similar in shape or design (even if color and hardware are different). I would have to get rid of the other one to justify buying a Gabrielle.
I love the softness and sort of "cuteness" of the Gaby, especially in the BB size. The flexibility of the shape and leather can also store a lot.
I was thrilled when my husband bought it for me as a Christmas gift in 2021.
Also, if I ever was going to get an epsom Kelly, I personally find the Gabrielle and Kelly too similar in basic shape. Yes I know the front clasp/closures are completely different, but structure-wise, too similar for me. (not really a Kelly girl, I prefer Birkins, but you never know haha.)
