I doubt that it’s actually strategy - more like making very expensive and labor intensive spaghetti.Interesting info re: the Voyage. Unless I’m mistaken, that would be the second Knightly design to be discontinued or paused or whatever they call it since debuting less than two years ago (the first being the “new” Limousine). I wonder if a faster design churn is part of their new strategy.
I had the old Limo. And I had an H Victoria. The Victoria was much easier to unzip, yet the Limo beat the Victoria design-wise — the straps continued down the sides, the leather was slightly stiffer so it held its shape (probably because of the leather interior), and the little dip in the center gave it shape. The Limo was smaller than the V — a bonus. It was so unlike the old one (which was similar to H Victoria) that I suspected the naming was due to cluelessness.
Oh, yeah.
That bag could have been great with just a few design changes. I wish there were more options to compete with both the Birkin and the Kelly. Moynat has good Kelly like options, but no good Birkin ones. And I have a Gabby that I have been carrying around without the long strap, just using the little handle. I love that bag so much!
I have Gabrielle mm and 2 Gaby pm so my vote goes to Gaby! Don’t get me wrong, I love all of them but my Gabys have been used more than Gabrielle. The pm size is perfect for what I need and the snaps make the bag more flexible literally and figuratively. They both have the adjustable strap going for them but since Gabrielle is bigger I have to be more aware of knocking it around.Oh, yeah. The bag with the … corners that work only on the real luggage cases. I think I blocked this from my memory. I
Moynat, but didn’t understand this bag. I’m sorry if I hurt anyone’s feelings about this bag.
P.S.: The Gaby bags are still available for SO!
Okay, another question. Gabrielle, Gaby or Voyage? And why? Thank you!
Gorgeous! I am also eyeing a Rejane MM. I wonder if it is just right for my body frame. I’m 5’6, medium to large built. Also, may I know the weight of MM? Thank you!I am very excited to present my new to me Rejane. She is stunning! I am very excited. She is the MM size. It still has the sticks on the opening. It looks as if it were never usedView attachment 5686019
The Pauline Haut from the original collection was a tote. Not at all like a Birkin but a beautiful, hardware-free elegant and commodious tote. It was discontinued after about 3 or 4 years. That bag could have been great with just a few design changes. I wish there were more options to compete with both the Birkin and the Kelly. so many things going on
I'm a Gabrielle devotee. I just love the silhouette - I think it's aesthetically perfect. Also, I'm not someone who minds a stiff, finicky bag. It makes any outfit look polished and thoughtful. I'd love to own a Gaby BB as well, but I'm waiting on a color that works for me and my collection. I'm actually tempted to add a third Gabrielle to my collection (I have a PM and clutch, and I'd love a BB), but I'm stuck deciding between it and a Duclos Diane Messenger. The Voyage would probably be my last choice, but only because I'm not totally sold on the clasp.Oh, yeah. The bag with the … corners that work only on the real luggage cases. I’m lucky enough to have a Moynat store in my city. But if I had to shop remotely, I would prefer to use a store in the same country I am in. Customs is usually not a problem for leather goods but every now and again I hear some stories. Plus if by some chance you decide to return the item, easier to return something locally vs internationally.I'm a Gabrielle devotee. I just love the silhouette - I think it's aesthetically perfect. Quick question -- how do US people prefer to buy Moynat that don't live near a boutique? Would you rather call a US store for a distance sale or do you order internationally from the website?
The official website now ships directly to US. Some people actually contacted the Paris Boutique to have purchases ship to US.I'm a Gabrielle devotee. I bought a JD small Lectoure case to sample JD leather and craftsmanship. It’s excellent! I think Moynat has excellent workmanship, too, but JD has a bespoke vibe.
