I have been mulling over Moynat for a few years now. I like the Réjane but felt that it looks slightly too formal for my lifestyle. For some reason, I felt a sudden urge to finally pull the trigger, and made an impulsive decision to get the Réjane BB. Let's just say that it is the BEST DECISION EVER. I used to really like the bag from afar, but now I love, love, love it. I am in awe with the quality, the design is subtle but unique, the leather is to die for. The size is as cute as can be. The customer service at Moynat is always above and beyond, even during the times when I was just browsing without buying. Did I say that I love this bag? Thanks for letting me share!

The Gold plated hardware really stands out against the black. Stunning!

Gorgeous! I always loved the Ballerine and it's one bag I regret not getting from the early collections.

Can I ask where you found it?

Please enjoy - it's so chic and you carry it well!
Thank you! :) found it on FASHIONPHILE! If the seller is on TPF, know that I’ll always cherish and love her :)

The Ballerine always reminds me of the Corsaire, one of their older models. The Corsaire was in men’s collection. I did manage to find a Corsair in the Moynat Singapore boutique several years ago and had the chance to see it in person but it was too large and heavy for me to use.

Thanks for the info - I just love that hardware - I remember the SA explaining it to me during my first visit to the maison - very carefully engineered so that the intersection of leather and metal is completely minimized and so no wear is introduced.

Enjoy that gorgeous bag!!

I’m not surprised! I remember the SA explaining to me their marquetry process too as they all seem so enthusiastic about teaching, educating and showing clients all about their craft ❤️

There is a link on Ballerine. The Moynat artisan in Paris workshop explained why the Ballerine handle is the most difficult to make. starts at 13:35.

Omggggg ❤️ thanks for that video link!!!! So much eye candy in that store and the workshop. Love the Cabotin just chilling on a shelf behind the artisans and 3 hrs to make ONE Ballerine handle

What bag is this (screen shot from the YouTube video)? I have been looking for a bag like this for a while. Oh how I miss old Moynat!

I don't know the exact model, but the handles and top section of the bag look a lot like a Pauline. The sides are less curvy though! Not sure if that helps or not!CB1834F5-0567-42B8-B849-C7A6EE2B632F_1_201_a.jpeg It's almost like a Sellier pauline!

I am 99% certain that that bag is either 1) not Moynat or at best 2) a prototype that was never produced (and I am pretty sure I am familiar with all of the Ramesh-era prototypes and I have never seen that one).
