I completely understand where your husband is coming from and don't think the belt kit range is ideal for him, unless you can be fortunate to get a barenia strap, which gives it more heft. I was fortunate to be offered one and took it .
I was pleased when H introduced the 38mm size, but I don't think it solves the problem.
Much as I hate to use the term 'dress' belt, Hermes belts kits do tend to come from a tradition of refined accessories.
However he might find one from the fixed strap ranges more to his taste.
You mentioned LV. I have a reversible one from there which is substantial - not paper thin.
Gucci might be a better source for him and you don't have to have an interlocking G buckle.
My favourite (admittedly from last century) has a completely plain 1 1/2" solid black strap and a plain plate buckle with the discreetest 'gucci' in 1mm (perhaps 2mm) letters engraved in the bottom LH corner.

Just recently discovered this belt and really like it! Does anyone have it? How have you styled it and if possible, can you post pictures wearing it?View attachment 6081167
I asked my SA about this one as well. I would like to wear it with my H poncho from the Equestrian line. Not really sure how I feel about the fabric's touch and feel. I will post more once this comes in. Would love to hear other's feedback. TIA!

Thank you for the thoughtful response! I personally love the sleek and lightweight belts myself, but I am much more easy to shop for! Which LV belt do you have? I will look into it! I will also follow up once we've had a chance to look at the Hermes belts in person. My hunch is that maybe he's not quite sure what he's looking for until he sees it. I think his gripe with the thinness may be that he feels it could reflect that the brand cut costs by using less leather. Perhaps if he likes the craftsmanship in person he won't be as concerned with the weight?

He does currently have a Gucci belt that he likes! I'd love to see photos of your belts if you're open to sharing. It sounds like a beautiful collection.

I have sent a PM

Does anyone have a 24mm Mors H that they can share an "in real life" photo of? I'm a horse girl so I love that this looks like a full cheek snaffle but I also like that it looks a little narrower than the Gamma or the H Equestre.

I have it and love it.

Sorry I don’t really have pictures - this is the best I can do.

Hi, thought I would post in an existing thread instead of starting a new one just to ask one question. I'm not familiar with Hermes belt sizing and I would like to order a belt online that I can wear on my waist (not hip). There is no Hermes store in my city to try on in person.

I'm petite and need it to fit 24-24.5", so around 61-63cm. Would a size 65 or 70 fit? The color I have my eye on only has size 70 in stock at the moment. I'm just wondering if someone with a size 70 belt can tell me what the measurements are at the smallest holes. TIA!

I do need to confirm this but the belt straps have a hole for the buckle at one end and three 'fitting' holes at the other.
The measurement is supposed to go from the single hole to the middle of the three. However, none of mine are exactly the same:
+ - a few mm;
because they are stitched they don't really stretch
Hermes will add two more holes to shorten.

Yes, I would love to know what the length is for size 70 when fastened at the shortest of the 3 holes (without additional holes punched). From the single "buckle" hole to the shortest hole. I guess a few mm variations won't make too much of a difference.

I have now measured and a 95 cm stamped strap
it does measure 95 cm from the buckle hole to the middle of the three prepunched holes

Hi, I have a 70cm belt (in 13mm width, but I don't think it changes anything about the length) : approximately 68,8 cm between the smallest hole and the buckle hole, and 70 cm between the middle of the three prepunched holes and the buckle hole. Hermes made a 4th hole for me (the biggest one for the "after lunch" situations )IMG_6091.jpeg
