Our First Lady is so beautiful! I don't believe I've ever felt compelled to say that about a former First Lady before, other than Jackie 'O.

And for what it's worth, and to steer away any intent of negativity circulating around the thread, I'd like to say that I ADMIRE her for wearing outlet retail clothing like H&M or J. Crew! IMO, a major part of both Barack and Michelle's appeal is their relatability and demeanor of being like any other American. Instead of appearing untouchable and overly-conservative, I feel like Miss Michelle is a happening lady who I could have a functional, substancial conversation with or spend time shopping with! She's such a lovely lady!

Let's kick all the naysaying to the curb.

As for the Jackie O comment, everyone should just ignore it. It was not an original comment. It is a direct quote from Ann Coulter, a conservative commentator/author. The comment was obviously made to stir things up here.

Frankly, none of us really care whether her style was "taken" from Jackie O or not. Makes no difference. Michelle's style is fabulous.

Lets not let others opinions attempt to close this thread. Stick to the clothing and style and ignore the obvious attempt to sabotage this thread.

So, anyone with any new pictures? I think she looks great in purple.
LOL, the first supermodel, Janice Dickinson said her style is nothing new, so give me a break it has nothing to do with conservatism it has to do with you wanting to discredit anyone who comes here and disagrees with your views on the way Michelle ***** dresses.

Me too! I just love her! I love that she is a talent in her own right too! Brains and beauty!

I personally never really cared about any of the other First Ladies style or beauty other than Jackie either! It not what I associate with them the most.

Though I do really admire our former First Lady and current Madame Secretary for her accomplishments as a Rhodes Scholar and the many other amazing things she has done with her life!

Hillary rocks pants suits like no other!!

I always find threads long after they've begun.:shrugs:

ITA with snibor, purple is Michelle's best color, though I've yet to see a color she doesn't look good in, especially the jewel tones. I was blown away by her Isabel Toledo ensemble on Jan. 20--the lemongrass knitted wool lace was a masterpiece and she looked stunning.

Jill ***** dresses beautifully too, but naturally we will see more photos of the First Lady.

The girls look so cute in their outfits--nicely coordinated but still little girls.

I had not seen this one. She wore it for Oprah's Legends event. I think both couples, the Obamas and TomKat, got it right. Look at those dresses and those suits

This is the caption that abc has for this photo:

Michelle *****: Fashion Icon?

Again, Michelle ***** chose an up-do for a more elegant evening at a 2005 ceremony hosted by Oprah Winfrey, honoring women prominent in arts, entertainment and civil rights. Here she is featured with husband Barack ***** as well as Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise. In a long white dress, ***** made her look simple and beautiful by making her necklace the focus of her ensemble.

Janice Dickinson is a drunken fool. Why would it even matter what she said about Michelle *****?:shrugs:

All you are doing, like everyone says, is trying to stir things up. It's getting really old. Why do you continue?? :confused1:
