I picked up my chalk kisslock satchel today. While there I also checked out the larger frame bags. I love kisslock bags but I didn't love these in plain black or Oxblood. I guess I really like the modern take on them with prints. Plain ones felt too boring to me. Also these bags have no feet. I don't know why they'd skip the feet for a big bag like these. Very disappointed. I love feet on my fall 2017 kiss lock satchels!

You're right, they are different styles, I guess just the fact that they're both black is making me indecisive. I have seen the color block beechwood and chalk one also, I might do an exchange or I'm even thinking of maybe getting the patchwork Dreamer instead. I saw that at the store also and thought it was quite pretty.
The Dreamer shoulder bag is very nice too. I love the midnight navy one.

Oh I like the midnight dreamer shoulder bag a lot except the suede being on the bottom. Oh also this is a hang only bag for me. It keeps falling over due to the heavy brass rings and zippers on top. All the hardware makes it a top heavy bag. I'm sure when you have your things in there it will balance out the weight some. They do hold a good amount and lay nice against the body. I'll be looking for it on sale. Not worth the full price IMHO.

You're right, the black and oxblood are a little plain, that's why I was thinking of the colorblock one or the Dreamer patchwork instead. I had the same reaction when I realized they had no feet. I think that was a bad decision not to include them.
I hadn't thought about the hardware on the Dreamer shoulder bag making it top heavy but that does make sense. It's the little things...!

Well, here she is. I took photos in various rooms of the house where the light is different. I really thought I'd just be packing it up to send back because it's not practical but I think I am going to have a harder time letting go than I thought. My observations...
From 1941 line.
Super detailed as I would expect from a patchwork bag. Mixes of plain, metallic, textured & embellished leathers & suede.
Generous size; when open, the midpoint is 9" across & 5" wide. Useable depth is between 6"-7".
Strap is simple, adjustable & substantial. It attaches at the top on rings by the handle.
The exterior back pocket runs the length of the back & gives a little. I could easily fit my phone, work badge & tissues in it.
Main opening is leather lined (burgundy) with one side having a zip & another having a snap pocket.
Downsides....no feet! WT*...a bag like this with no feet! Not cool.
For me, I would prefer no haircalf at all. I particularly would have preferred the backside to not have anything but smooth leathers. One of my main worries is the wear that side will get as I doubt I'll hand carry much.
Okay, enough rants...onto photos. Would love to know your thoughts!

Super cute, but I agree it is a bummer it has no feet. At least the bottom is black leather.

Good to know because I looked at the one in midnight. I didn't know suede was on the bottom. Hmmm. Always worth a wait!!

The lack of feet would bug me to no end and I also wish the back side of all the patchwork bags was smooth--but I'm loving the design of the patchwork this go around so I'd probably vote to keep it and either hand carry or try to be super careful about letting it rub up against you as you walk. It is very pretty, I really like the patchwork this season, but the no feet situation is such a shame. Do you think you're going to keep it?

Mine is packed up & ready to drop off at UPS. If by some chance these don't sell well & end up on sale or at a dept store at a discount, I'll repurchase. If I'm going to spend $800, I'll buy two saddles or the like that I'll use regularly. Beautiful design tho...

Would love to see how the kisslock looks on if you would be able to post a shot so cute!!
I've decided not to keep it so I'm leaving it all packed up for the next person that buys it after I return it. Teagaggle posted mod shots earlier in this thread of the patchwork one. It really is cute.

I don't blame you, I don't think I will keep mine either. I don't see me using it as an everyday bag and I'd hate to see a $600 bag sitting on a shelf rarely being used.
What do you think of the Harmony? I'm thinking right now of warmer weather coming up so I'm considering the smaller colorbock one or the patchwork chalk Dreamer for a spring/summer bag.

I had high hopes for the harmony but it left me unimpressed. Even the smaller one felt "sloppy" to me. No real structure as the leather was thin, at least IMO.
Just when I think Coach is making strides by adding exterior pockets and magnet closures, they do little things like no feet on these very ladylike structured frame bags and I just wish there was some consistency.
