I just can't justify $500 to $800 for FAKE shearling. Is there a sheep shortage we haven't heard about? What have all you Aussies and Kiwis done with the bloody sheep????? :panic:

I guess it's because the vegans were hounding Coach's social media to change to fake shearling. I mean, I see them all the time spamming their nonsense on Urban Outfitters and their sister stores' facebooks. Coach finally gave into their tantrums and use fake shearling.

I am honestly okay with fake animal shearling/fur/hair anyway, though. For that much money I rather just buy a leather bag.

Yep. When animals are primarily raised for food, it doesn't make sense to just discard the skins if they can be used, it's killing animals just for their furs that I hate.

But no way "faux" shearling should be priced in the same range as real shearling. Maybe they're trying to make the bags "washable" (assuming they actually ARE) but they should be priced accordingly.

I agree with @Hyacinth that they are way overpriced since they are fake. I certainly don't want fake shearling in my boots or in a coat; there is a huge difference in warmth and softness when it is next to your skin, but in a bag, it might not matter. I don't see what the difference is between using shearling and using leather. They both come from animals that are raised for food. If you object to one, you should object to the other, and if you feel that way, you aren't likely to be a Coach customer anyway.

Anyone in Florida know if the packages are being delayed right now? I had an order made on Sunday and Coach gave me the tracking on Monday, but it hasn't moved. I checked Google and looks like there's a hurricane right now?

Coach unfortunately gave me conflicting information (one said it would arrive today, the other is because UPS didn't pick it up yet).

I wish they just be honest and tell me it's due to the weather. I am in California but no news here mentioned the hurricanes yet. I also checked the weather app and FL is getting pounded by rain. Be safe guys.

Does anyone knew of some kind of gizmo with which to shorten purse straps without destroying them ? I carry my bags cross-body, but my right shoulders intimately knows Arthur Itis, so I have been trying to carry them as shoulder bags, but they just hang too low to be comfortable and to carry them on the opposite side is just a pita. I have shorteners for chains, but have never seen anything for leather straps. Thanks for any ideas :)

The bag was made in November 1996 and was probably made for the Spring 1997 release so the color would be Aqua and was available in early 1997.
