so I am working on my own Remixed Dinky Satchel since they aren’t for sale online anymore. Hand stitched since it doesn’t fit in sewing machine. I’m wondering if the White Dinky pouch looks good or if I should go with another color. This project has cost me less than $100 so far! Any thoughts? I’m loving this upcycled look! I still need to attach the front Dinky and the crossbody strap. I’ve attached photos of my progress!

Hi there! Thanks for the feedback!
It was funny how I did the straps at the bottom. Now I wish I had taken a better photo of it! I threaded a belt through and the the second belt through. It was not easy but doable. My straps were different lengths so it worked out. I posted a photo! It was a tight squeeze!
Wow, you are really giving me ideas! How did you secure the Dinky by hand stitching?? At the very least, I like the idea for the straps on one of the many vintage bags that came with hard handles .
And I do double up the strap on the buckle on my Patricia’s Legacy, so it is doable. Snug but doable. . .
This may motivate me to get busy and rehab what I have in my pile. Congrats on an amazing and inspiring project. Have you considered posting your pic in the Clubhouse on the Vintage Photos and Rehab thread??

I would prefer the boutique version as the vintage ones are still difficult to find for a decent price. I like the boutique colours more than I like the vintage colours. I would also like a ready-to-wear handbag.
This particular style came in a rainbow of colors in the 90s. Usually they sell for under $100 on the resale market. Because they are small bags there is a good chance of getting one in nearly new condition.

Keep in mind that I am a Canadian buyer, so this greatly impacts the prices of these. Whenever I see the yellow version it is always $150+ without shipping/handling/fees.

I'm really feeling this collection, especially the RTW. Less boho prairie and more hip daytime New Wave. The colours are amazing and I'm usually not one for bright primary colours. :coolio:
I actually really like the Streisand and J.Fox bags.

Richard Bernstein did the illustrations for Andy Warhol's Interview magazine covers during the 70s/80s so his work isn't quite as out of place as one might think. I'm really taken by this picture. It'd be a fun statement piece.

I love the shape of the painted bags too, but without the faces for me. Do you know if the straps are adjustable? It looks like they are doubled. Coach has spoiled me with their removable, adjustable straps! That purple shade on the little bag in the back is stunning!

The colors on these bags are just beautiful! Does anyone know when they should start appearing for sale?
