Official Britney thread

I'm kind confused about the ruling. obviously she still needs mental health that she did not get during the C-ship. However I did think that while maybe some of her claims were exaggerated, it was not a stretch to think that her Dad and other hangers on took advantage of of her during that time for the money. BUT after all this time and her lawyers insisting that all of it was true, they settle for her getting her nothing and PAYING Jamie's legal fees? Usually paying legal fees is a sign that your case was bad and it's a bit of a punishment for bringing the suit. Why would her lawyers go for this????

Now I’ve learnt more about being bipolar this year Ive gotten a better understanding of her situation and she does seem to have a lot of the problems associated with the condition in terms of her presentation aka she’s got very spiralling moods and an addictive personality which leads to spending addiction definitely, probably sex addiction and oversharing and over trusting. So yeah she’s an adult but her condition can endanger her so essentially she needs monitoring but I feel like she’s never gotten good help. Most of the men in her life seem to completely ignore setting boundaries or managing the illness she has and push straight into ‘curing’ or dumping her and she’ll never not be bipolar and they don’t give her much of a chance at managing it.

I do believe that her father was using the conservatorship to spend her money for her and that the family and management prioritised making Money over Brit for years and that they did take advantage of the overspending mania she has.

I mean legally he’s got her over the barrel here. He did have the power over her estate so yeah it is his call how he managed it. I think it’s obvious he didn’t do a great job especially on finding specialist care

Her father was paid for sure but it wasn’t an insane amount. He didn’t steal all her money like her fans want to believe. Britney lost the case because it showed where the money actually went.

For context, at her peak in the mid 2000s Britney was worth about $200 million. What was her father paid during the conservatorship? $16,000 a month, for a total of $2.3 million for the 12 years of the conservatorship.

Britney has received lots of help over many years but what can you do when the patient is uncooperative and occasionally combative? Mental health treatment doesn’t always work. Or it works for awhile and then needs to change.

Her situation wasn’t ideal under the conservatorship but it’s way worse now. That documentary that started the “free Britney” movement didn’t show the entire story about her condition, only the parts that would make her appear like a prisoner because that got attention and got people watching it. The people who made it made lots of money for themselves by basically exploiting her and then they moved on to other projects, leaving a big mess in their wake.

I just saw this article. It reinforces my comments above. The conservatorship was what was keeping her alive and safe during those years. One thing I forgot to mention before is that Britney is a shopaholic and she was spending millions of dollars recklessly before the conservatorship and she is again blowing through what money she has left.

BRITNEY SPEARS 'COMPLETELY DYSFUNCTIONAL'In Danger Of Going Broke

Britney Spears is in "serious danger" on both the mental and financial front and is doing way worse than she was under the conservatorship ... sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ.

As for her mental health, our sources say Britney is "completely dysfunctional." Since the conservatorship ended, she has no supervision and, according to sources, has radical mood swings that we're told are "shocking."

We're told she's almost totally isolated and, as it was put to us, dangerously unstable.

We're told the few people who remain in Britney's life say she was doing much better when she was under a conservatorship. As one source said, "She had lots of freedom in the conservatorship and the restrictions were there to protect her. She's not protected anymore."

Our Britney sources are angry at what's happened since the conservatorship ended, saying she's gotten absolutely "no justice" ... and that involves her finances.

We're told Britney has been spending a fortune and is in real danger of going broke. Our sources say she's been going to French Polynesia, staying at The Brando, and spending close to a million dollars each trip between private jets, hotels, staff, etc. She goes every month or 2. We're told she also goes to Hawaii almost monthly by herself, taking a private jet, staying in the Presidential Suite at the Four Seasons, and dropping $350k a trip.

"She cannot afford this. She had $60 million when the conservatorship ended, and she's now where the conservatorship started -- in danger of going broke" ... one source said.

As we reported she's paid north of $4 million to her attorney, Mathew Rosengart.

TMZ broke the story ... Britney has settledwith her dad, Jamie Spears, after Rosengart vowed to pursue him for alleged financial misdeeds. We're told Britney did not get a penny from Jamie, in part because everything Jamie did was court-approved.

In fact, Britney ended up agreeing to pay Jamie's legal bills, which total around $2 million. Short story ... she's running out of cash.

Maybe she was getting some treatment for her bipolar under the conservation, remember she bitterly complained about the pills she was forced to take ? Maybe those were meds for bipolar so she could function.
She was getting treatment and had to take meds. But remember how the fans were blaming the meds, saying that they were too strong? They were claiming that the meds caused her problems rather than acknowledging the severity of her mental illness which required drugs to stabilize her.

One reason why I think this whole free Britney thing made no sense, a bunch of fans who are not her dr trying to convince everyone that her care wasn't needed.

She’s got a chronic condition which has cyclical relapses.

Idk 16k a month seems a lot of me you could hire a live in carer for that at least. Not to mention most people with seriously ill family would look after them and their affairs for free especially their children.
I think the problem is it’s just a lot easier to see the mistakes and the blatant scamming like her ex and her attorney are pulling but it’s much harder to know how to support a bipolar person with severe manic cycling like Britney seems to be.

It’s hard to imagine what would be a stable life for someone who has such a complicated history as hers and admittedly part of mania is being drawn to danger. Yet, I will still say I don’t think her parents have done a good job in supporting her. Money is comparatively no object for them yet she doesn’t seem to have a solid medical team or framework after over a decade and this is a chronic condition so they should have a treatment plan and Idk 16k a month seems a lot of me you could hire a qualified live in carer for that at least. Not to mention most people with seriously ill family would look after them and their affairs for free especially their children. I think the situation is more nuanced than them just trying to woman in white her but I don’t think she’s wrong for thinking everyone around her is playing her to some extent

I think you must have quoted someone else, I don’t think $16,000 a month is too much. That would be $192,000 a year. A nice salary but far from the millions she (and her fans) were claiming he stole. While she was under the conservatorship her money had to be accounted for legally, which is why her lawyer didn’t win the case, because her father’s lawyers had the receipts (literally) to back it up.

Since the conservatorship began Britney has had a staff to take care of her home, make her meals, and everything else. She must have been under a physician’s care (or at least a therapist) during that time to monitor the meds.

The money her parents have is a pittance compared to what Britney herself has, or had. I’m not saying they don’t owe everything they have to Britney, that part is true. She was essentially the family business while she was a teen. But Britney was in pretty good shape mentally and living on her own while in her early 20s. Bipolar hit her a few years later and her mental state has gradually gotten worse over time which is not unusual. She refuses to have contact with them or her sister. I think she might see her brother occasionally but if he has tried to help, she doesn’t listen to him.

There isn’t going to a happy resolution. Given the fuss that was made before I doubt there will ever be another conservatorship. Sadly, some situations cannot be fixed.

During the early years of Britney's childhood her parents could swing the utility bills or buy groceries, one or the other. Britney and her brother were fed by extended family members when her parents paid the utilities. Jamie was rarely employed full time and various "business ventures" failed. The family's first economic security arrived when Britney signed with Disney.

The singer's attorney Mathew Rosengart filed documents ahead of Wednesday's conservatorship hearing claiming that her father/former conservator, Jamie Spears, and the lawyers involved took more than $36 million from the estate over the 13-year period. The Spears patriarch allegedly "siphoned millions" personally, billing things like his legal fees stemming from his 2019 physical altercation with her minor sons to Britney's estate.

The forensic investigation, done at the request of Britney's legal team, found that Jamie "profited from his role as conservator" in the amount of $6.3 million, according to the docs obtained by Yahoo Entertainment.

Her lawyer made that claim but then he was unable to provide any evidence of it in court. Where were those so-called forensic investigation results that were supposed to clear everything up? Do they even exist?

So now not only does she have to pay her lawyer about $4 million for his ineffectual services, she has to cover about $2 million for her father’s lawyers, effectively equaling the amount her father allegedly “stole.”

Who is the biggest crook here?

This reminds me a bit about Cher trying to get her son into a conservation situation; he's also in his 40s and according to her , unable to manage himself and his money.
It's sad to watch as a parent, but at a certain point maybe the child has to live their own life, even if they ruin it.

According to varied sources (including CNN, Los Angeles Times, NY Times, Rolling Stone) the terms of the recent settlement are confidential. Links to court documents indicate that $2million attorney fees were paid on behalf of Jamie previously and no further fees are awarded to him. Only TMZ carries the erroneous information that Britney is currently ordered to pay an additional $2million of her father's legal fees. Two trial dates, one in May and one in June, were vacated by this agreement. Jamie has a history of settling at the 11th hour. On the bright side, one of his legs was amputated last year.

So this is what a #FreeBritney looks like. It is what her fans, who didn’t understand her condition, demanded she have. She’s obviously not under any treatment and she’s still spending like there’s no tomorrow.

BRITNEY SPEARS CALLS SISTER JAMIE LYNN '*****' ...In Rambling New Video

Britney Spears is back to attacking her little sister, Jamie Lynn Spears -- out here calling her a "*****" ... this while going on and on about things that just don't make sense.

The pop star posted a few since-deleted videos to her Instagram Story Tuesday, which features in the passenger seat of a car ... with three other people with her, including what appears to be her assistant -- at least that's how Brit describes her anyway.

The footage is strange ... the group is going up the side of some mountain, following a Jeep that seems to be leading them somewhere remote. Britney and the gang say they're going horseback riding -- which, if accurate, jibes with other posts of hers from earlier in the week.

Everything seems relatively innocent at first, but right off the bat ... it's clear BS is using this as a way to take a shot at JLS -- as well as her stint on 'I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!'

Take a listen ... Britney says they're heading into the "jungle" ... where she says Jamie was getting "bathed" on TV. She's referring to Jamie Lynn's time on the show ... and took the opportunity to call Jamie Lynn a "little s***" and a "little *****" repeatedly in the diatribe.

Britney's also going in and out of accents here -- apparently trying to match her female cohort's British accent. She talks about getting a vagina rash by peeing in the bushes.

Britney then goes on joke about running out of wine, and then calling her manager to fly her and her friends somewhere on a helicopter ... but only with BS's favorite pilot, who she has a crush on. Yeah ... like we said, it's all over the place -- and isn't very coherent at all.

What's interesting of course is that Brit is carrying on with her life like nothing's amiss -- even though we've been assured things are falling apart at the seams for her, and it's dire.

We know she's blowing through cash at a rapid pace ... and that she's in danger of running the well dry. While she's clearly kidding in this clip, her chopper reference is ... well, telling.

In any case ... it seems like whatever truceBritney and Jamie Lynn struck in the past is torn up now -- sounds like big sis has it out for her younger sibling ... and letting it be known.

Why is that on the bright side?
Having lived his life as a vile man who spent decades being physically and emotionally abusive to women and children, he got a taste of what he earned.

The record shows that in the end he was not entitled to receive the final $2million that he chased. I will take the court record over TMZ's assertions every day of the week. Britney paid $30million to her family's attorneys (and Jamie's legal fees resulting from the incident when he kicked down a locked door to continue assaulting one of Britney's sons, earning him a restraining order). Kevin hasn't had a job since he was Britney's backup dancer and the child support from Britney floats his third set of children. In addition to the child support she pays for their medical insurance, school tuitions and sports fees. Lou Taylor, Jamie's former love interest, earned millions as Britney's manager (Tri Star), coming on board one month before the conservatorship was initiated.

"Turn out the lights, the party's over."

I am not devoting a further minute to this conversation.
