Interesting that MB is bringing back so many of the classics, but with his own twist. This new Andiamo bag is more or less an update of the Garda…..the one in this pic is size large, but it also comes in a medium…very interesting tweak with the braided handles that can be lengthened for crossbody or double strapped for shoulder carry. The metal knot is a very cool feature too.
It's a nice looking bag and I like the metal knot. Not so sure that my shoulder will like the braided strap worn crossbody. I love crossbody bags but, the shoulder will need a wider strap if I'm going to cary the bag longer than about 5 minutes.
I like it too. Not sure how comfortable that strap would be, wearing it crossbody, now that you mention it. Aesthetically its beautiful but is it practical….
The price 
$4900 for the size that most resembles the old Garda, and just under EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS for the large. Oh hell no.

I'm waiting (in extreme delirium and excitement) for my first BV, a classic medium Veneta in ebano. I've been looking at so many threads on this forum! I'm so exhilarated, I'm waiting with both extreme nervousness and absolute joy at the same time.

How did you come across your newest find?
Oh, I check the resale sites frequently. I actually watched this bag for a few months hoping no one would buy it before it was finally discounted to a price I was willing to pay. I've received the bag, and it's gorgeous. Just trying to decide if the size works for me before I remove the tags and do a reveal.So excited to see your reveal

Today I wore my new (to me) medium ebano veneta out... so many things to love: 
(excuse me for the looong post!)
- The bag fits perfectly on my shoulder (I'm petite)
- I feel the quiet contentment of carrying a bag that not a lot of people carry (sorry, sick of monograms)
- You can dress the bag up or down, and today I was feeling casual...the bag was a perfect 'tote'!
- The sheer happiness I feel when I touch the super soft leather!
Oh, you guys...I'm so convinced that Bottega Veneta might become 'my' brand for years to come. It's so timeless and beautiful. This is the first time I've bought a designer bag that truly gave me happiness carrying around.
