I am really grappling with a decision between a Trim I 31 and a Trim Duo 24, both in bleu nuit with ghw. The challenge is that we are in lockdown again, so I can’t try either bag on and my husband wants to get one of them for me for Xmas. I would love to hear from someone who has the duo 24 regarding its pros and cons, and how you feel about its size and functionality. Thank you in advance for any feedback you may be able to provide!

@CMilly, i agree with @Lexgal. I have both the Trim II 31 and the evelyne III 29 and much more can fit into my 31.(however, I have a slight preference for my trim II 35 which reads as more NS than EW (the 31) in orientation.

I have both. I find the 31 very very useful - it holds everything I need to run errands, etc. The 24 is not functional for me, unfortunately; it is just too small. It’s fine if all I need is hand sanitizer and a little cash, but if I want to carry sunglasses, a card case, an extra mask, and my house keys then I can’t make everything fit. I also think the proportions of the 31 are more appealing, especially if you are tall. The 24 looks too minuscule on me; I’m 5’7” and a size 8, for reference.
I notice that you are thinking about a Trim I size 31 v. a Trim Duo 24. I own the Trim II size 31 and I find it to be the perfect size. It fits a surprising amount because of the gusset and it is SO easy to carry around. I would imagine that the Trim I 31 would carry a bit less because it is flatter, but the WxH dimensions of the 31 would still hold. So helpful...thank you!! I absolutely would carry a similar number of items in my bag, so it looks like the 31 will be more practical. I have a mini Halzan that is really tiny, so I completely get what you’re saying about the 24 (I actually compared the dimensions of the Halzan mini with the online dimensions of the 24, and the 24 is less than an inch wider than the Halzan mini. You are a few inches taller than me, so I can envision how the 24 may appear on the small side for someone your height. Maybe you can make it work for movie nights, when movies become a safe pastime again?!
Thank you so much...I love to hear the word “easy” when used to describe a bag. I have made more than my fair share of bag mistakes...falling for ones that have more beauty than function. Nice to have equal measures of both!
I’m 5’2“, but I have a chunky shoulder and arm and am medium build, hang on, I know I have pics with the Trims: first two pics are olive Togo II 35 (side view and front); then the smaller trim II 31 (black barenia crinoline). Also, for your reference, an evelyne III PM 29.
I also added a natural barenia trim II 35 bc in a color like that, it can appear much bigger than the dark green Togo, even though both are 35s. The trim II has a gusset, so can hold quite a bit, but somehow it’s still slim depth. In the last pic you can see how much shorter the 31 is, in comparison to the 35.

Regarding the suede being sewn into the underside of some vintage Trims, does anyone have one purchased directly from Hermes?
I have found two sold that had the suede piece. But am wondering if they were altered or it was originally done that way. If altered, would Hermes have done the work?

I think some have the suede and some didnt. Not sure why hermes did that though.
Thank you, Yoshi. It's strange that two box ones I referenced have the suede sewn in, but others do not. But then again, even the buckles and strap lengths seem to be different on different years for the Trim.
