Ode to the Picotin

Just wanted to share my excitement for this ☺
Ordered a custom made strap online which matches my first H bag - the Picotin 18 perfectly! (Watermark is my instagram username)

Certainly helps to make it more functional for hands free use. It now has the Lindy effect!

Can you tell us who made the strap and share a link to them? This is a great match on the leathers!

Update: Seems the rouge tomate is gone (I decided against it... and then thoughts of the Pico came RAGING back into my heart), but my SA now has a 22 in bleu nuit with GHW that she's holding for me until I see her next. Yay? Nay? I have not seen it in person yet so am curious what you all think of the pico in a more understated color. I think the Picotin is so beautiful and adorable in the brighter colors, but I pretty much only wear neutrals and own NO bright bags so I'm also scared of committing to a bright bag right off the bat. Bleu nuit might be a good first venture outside of my usual black bag?
Bleu nuit is my absolute favorite color Hermes or otherwise BUT picotin is such a fun bag and it’s easy to commit to it in a bright color (bc if price point compared to other H bags) IF you find a fun color you love! Blue Nuit looks great with neutrals! Commit to a bag that you will use!! (But I bet you will one day go for a picotin in a pop of color!)

So many gorgeous picos!

Does anyone know if the bicolor Picotin where the body is all one color and the handles/lock strap is another has a particular name? Not the casaque, here’s an example of the style I’m talking about.
Is this bicolor style still being produced?

I believe it’s called touch like this member referred to it as in her 2018 post:https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/ode-to-the-picotin.421880/page-259#post-32463202

I don’t think they are in production and as you may know “touch” currently refers to the exotics handle version instead. But interestingly I’ve seen photos of this bicolor non exotic touch version floating around more recently too...

Thank you! The link is super helpful, it's so hard to get search terms right sometimes!! I think you're right, I've only seen older picos sold on the preloved market in this style; I wish it would come back.

I suppose it makes sense that they would call this style "touch" since it seems that the handles even on that member's bag are a different leather than the body, although not an exotic leather (I've also seen these popping up like you have!). It is a bit confusing, nonetheless.

i think its soooo cute!
i havent seen IRL- online but would be so tempted
i have one in VC and think that one in a bright color would be so fun

What do you ladies think of a rose azalee picotin 18 with PHW?? Too pink? My SA has one on hold for me and I can’t decide. Please help!
