Ode to the Picotin

I've finally joined the Picotin club! I've always wanted a Picotin but it seemed to be so elusive at my home store [emoji29] Thus you could have imagined my surprise when I casually asked for Picotin and was told that it was available and in Blue Zanzibar (I'm a blue and pink lover)! I thought my SA was pulling my leg until she opened the box and so I handed over my card with no second thoughts [emoji23] Here she is with my Rodeo that I've finally found a use for!

congrats we are pico twins! although i have yet to see mine in proper daylight...but this colour really reminds me of H mykonos from a few years back...love it and i am not even a blue fan..

@tabbi001 yes she is [emoji7]

@chincac yay to bag twins! I haven't seen mine in proper daylight too, waiting to use it over the weekend lol. I thought it looked like Blue Hydra but after seeing comparison pictures, probably not [emoji28] I've never seen Mykonos except on picture, will love to see it IRL!

Complete noob question: I am thinking of buying the Picotin PM as my first purchase at Hermes ever. What, if any, is the "protocol" for buying a Picotin? I have read about all the stories about the need to build up a relationship with an SA when purchasing a Kelly or Birkin. With the Picotin being a completely different offering, is there any sort of pressure to do the same? Can I just walk into a Hermes store and ask to see a Picotin? This will be either the Madison or Wall Street in NY. Understood that I will probably have to get on a list if I am looking for specific colors....

Picos are easy to buy (no games or pre-sell) and most H's have many in stock in different sizes. Just walk in, ask to see a few, and walk out with a new treasure in hand! That simple, thankfully. :)

It actually depends. At my home store picotin isn't well stocked. Usually if there's any left the color of choices isn't the best

Madison Ave should have a lot of stock and easier to find one you like

Yes I agree, it is very elusive in my home store too, especially for the smaller sizes and more popular colors. I've only been to the Madison store once but I remember they had pretty decent stock so I guess you shouldn't have any problems. Any colors you are specifically looking for?

My store rarely displays picotin on their shelves. So I called them up and asked if they had the colour I wanted. They took down my preference and next day I received a call to check out a black pico 22! :)

Oh it's not my first H BUT it is my first Picotin, been wanting one forever but just couldn't get it in the right size (18) and color, so I'm so happy when I finally got this cute lil one :biggrin:
