I believe that is the Liao, it came with these pendants or the pendants in horn. I have the one with horn and it is gorgeous.

Thank you so much Rileygirl, I have admired your mod photos! Your horn collection is fabulous!
I was a bit confused, since this one only has 4 pendants, and 3 of them are of the same motif. Maybe one came off? They appear to be palladium, but I'm not 100% sure. The seller is not an H-enthusiast, and it was really difficult to get any info out of her.

Dear Ladies, could you please help me ID this necklace?

Hello MaggieH,

I also think this is the Liao. I believe it was offered in all horn, and also as horn with sterling silver silver discs (with palladium plating). It will be marked 925 on the reverse of one of the discs to indicate sterling silver.

I think the necklace you posted may in fact have 5 discs. Look at the upper portion of the photo, right of center. I think there may be another disc hiding under one of the horn pieces? It's lovely, and so fun as the Liao is wonderfully long! Let us know if you buy it! ;)

Thank you for your help Ladies!

It looks like Liao to me too, but I wanted to know your opinion. I have counted the amount of 'links' on the necklace I've bought, and it equals to the number of horn pieces of Liao with silver discs, the discs are of the same design, except one is missing.

The seller was really ignorant about this necklace, for starters she thought it was made of ivory! Plus she told me the length was 15 cm (without any opening), but I can wear it hanging long, or wrap it twice around my neck!
The website I bought it from will authenticate it for me, and hopefully I will receive it next week.

MaggyH,

Congratulations on your purchase! Will you update us upon receipt? I'd love to see modelling snaps!

Maggy, congrats on your Liao! It's a fabulous necklace (I'm up for another one!)...

...in the meantime, in the US...it's called the Kali (looks very similar to the Frida, which is a bright blue)

Thank you JulianF, I am loving it!

Sadly, it's missing one of the medallions, and today I have accidentally pulled another one off of it! I am so clumsy!
Could someone please tell me if H will fix my Liao, and is the cost high?

I have the all horn Liao necklace and H was able to fixed the broken horn link for a small charge (about $50? It took more than 6 months though). The charge for replacing the medallions might be different. Bring it in to H and they should be able to advise you.

Thank you for your advise ms piggy!
I will take it to H and ask for a quote, but if it's going to take so long, I'd rather wear it like a double-tour Lena :)

Sorry for the bad picture quality!

Hi, my first try on TPF! I am a new fan of Hermés from Sweden. :smile1::smile1: Started collecting in mars 2012.
Can somebody tell me how often Hermés realises new designs of the horn-pendants? Is it twice a year like the scarves?
All the best from a snowy Sweden
