I am glad you Posted this about the 33. It encouraged me to take the plunge for a black ghw 33 that I took home today and it’s going to be perfect for winter in my snowy city! Thank you very much!
Thank you so much for sharing this. I'm so happy for you. And black with gold is one of the best combinations out there in my opinion.
Only yesterday I realized again wonderful the 33 is. I had a car appointment and even though it is summer I brought my 33 instead of my summery light blue 29. It fits all the paperwork I had to take with me and some entertainment stuff to pass the waiting time. I like looking at pretty small bags but whenever I leave the house I actually have to do stuff and therefore take things with me.
Congratulations on your beautiful purchase.

I’m on vacation and I was honestly a little hesitant to go to the Hermes store while here. My worry was that the associates might be rude or they wouldn’t have or show me the bag I was interested in. I was doubly wrong! I’ve been on the hunt for an Evelyne TPM. Although they didn’t have that, the associate was super sweet and showed me two PMs. I picked the Cassis. My face lit up when I saw her. The gold hardware was an added bonus! :hbeat: Here she is with my TPM I carried today.7178D582-6AF3-4F80-A888-DEA3CD24E97E.jpeg

Advice please :) I got a new Evelyne PM the other day (wahoo!!!) and have a question about the leather/structure in this size.

When the bag lays flat, the leather is perfectly fit to the shape of the bag, but when the bag stands up it "pooches out" quite significantly - enough that my not-very-observant DH thought something was defective! I've seen preloved PMs that do this, but assumed a new bag wouldn't have this issue? My TPM is too small for such a thing to happen, but wondering if this is normal with the PM size (perhaps the weight of the leather?) or is it not normal? FWIW when I put things into the bag to "fill it out" or support the leather, it does not resolve the issue. I would hate to bother my SA with this but if it's an issue I guess I should mention it sooner than later since I just bought it.

It looks like gorgeous, slouchy Clemence, and that’s what will make the bag sort of mold to your frame over time. I love Clemence, but some people prefer a more structured look. You might consider another choice of leather if that’s your concern. :flowers:

Thanks for your input... I have 2x other clemence bags (one small, one medium) and love the leather. Neither slouch nearly this much which is why I posted. I don't want structure per se, just to know if this is amount of slouching is expected at the PM size. I would certainly expect clemence to slouch over time (as it has in my other pieces) but upon literally taking it out of the box for the first time I sorta expected more integrity, this instant slouch seems surprising, no?

I can’t say I’m surprised, no; just as each batch of leather can take color differently, I would think that different batches may vary in softness and texture. Based on your pics I wouldn’t say the bag is defective at all but you have the bag in hand, and whether you’re pleased with it is another matter. :flowers:

My PM’s look exactely the same when standing and did that from day one. I think it is meant to be like that. My TPM does not slouch. Hope that helps.

It's totally normal. An organizer insert helps best with this situation. And when I store the PMs I lay them flat.

Good point @textilegirl, I'd sorta forgotten that each batch of leather can have slightly different properties. I am delighted to have the bag in hand as you said!

Thank you @Pampelmuse @phoenixfeather - super helpful to know yours both looked like this from the start too :) I will be sure to store it flat to allow the leather to rest. @phoenixfeather do you think WhiteFox's linen insert (which I'm planning to buy from the other thread) would be enough structure to help reduce the slouch or are her inserts too soft? Would I need a more seriously structured insert to help with the slouch?

I find using a 2mm felt Zoomoni insert helps in keeping the structure.
