I'm back to wanting another evie. I missed out on a beautiful PM in vert de gris, and have been kicking myself for not grabbing it when I could. It looked like such a unique, dark neutral. I finally saw an etoupe out in the wild, and found I really love the color. More so than I thought I would.

But I already have a black and a gold GM. I definitely use the black more than the gold, but they're both among my most used bags. Would either an etoupe or a vert de gris (if I can find one) be redundant? If so, do you think either could take the place of the black or the gold?

Why do I love these bags so much, and obsess about getting more?!?!?

I think etoupe would go great in your collection! It’s not like your others, besides that it’s neutral.

I have a PM gold and etain, both which I LOVE and get lots of use. I’m considering a third in a fun pop color.

I have a gold PM and an etoupe GM, and to me they are very different colors. I use the gold more because the PM size works better for me, but I tend not to wear it in the winter, whereas Etoupe, to me, is a year-round neutral. I think if you have a gold and black GM, the etoupe in a PM would be different enough. Strangely, I feel like my Etoupe bag is more of a substitute for black than it is for gold.

I wish I was a "pop of color" person because Hermes makes the best pops. But, while I love the beautiful, bright colors on everyone else, I hate them on me. So, I live vicariously through all of you posting your beautiful bright colored bags. I hope you get one and share it here.

I love my Gold, but I find I'm not wearing it as often as I thought I would. I love it with denim and as a neutral pop against black. But I have several other bags in that same brown family that I also like to reach for. So, it has more to compete with there. My black GM is one of my most used bag, by far! But I don't use it as much in spring/summer because it looks heavy against the lighter-brighter cool tones I wear during those times of year. Surprisingly, I too feel like etoupe is more of a substitute for black than gold. It strikes me as a good summer black, if that makes sense.

Thank you both for your input!

I don't think the colors are redundant. VdG is a nice in between (I like it more than Etoupe).

When a bag (or anything) is among your most used, it makes sense to have a few in different colors. Or so I tell myself :p

I also have a few and am thinking of getting one more. If you will use it, get it. With black and gold, etoupe or a grey would be a good addition.
