Exchanged the Gold with ghw for the Etain with ghw. I wanted a neutral and this suits me better than the Gold. I have to be honest and say that it did not wow me at first in person but is definitely growing on me. I purchased a Carmen for a pop of color which makes me smile, lol. Pictured with the Goyard in grey for hue comparison.

Wow so many Etain GHW Evies lately! I'll post a modeling shot with mine this week too. :heart: Love to see how people style these.

Does anyone think GHW will start becoming just as common as PHW in Evies going forward, or is this just coincidence that we have been seeing so many recently?

I have to thank you as it was your picture that made me go back to give the Etain another chance! The gold definitely gives it a different look and not as casual as with phw in my opinion.

It seems gold hardware on Evelyne show up from time to time but not as common as phw. Others please chime in if I am mistaken.

I was under the impression that gold on the Evelyne was rare. But I’ve been seeing them a lot more lately....not sure

Etain is an interesting color... it photographs green-ish but in person is a very "flat" concrete gray color. The gold really pops against the flatness of the color. I will admit it doesn't look as classic or versatile as noir (grey/gold is kind of trendy now) BUT I'm okay with that. It's just puuuuurty, ya know? :P I love how the veins and grains of the leather are so much more visible in the trim with this lighter color... I didn't see that in the black but wow this really makes it clear that H are true leather artisans.

(On a related note, Palo Alto now has a noir GHW PM Evie for anyone who wants her haha)

I’m heading back to the Bay Area in a little over two weeks. I emailed my SA in PA about a GHW Evie in Noir. She says she has one - what are the chances that I’ll to be picking up yours! Haha it would be funny.
