I agree with all the feedback here - first, go with your heart. You want to love and be happy with your choice. With that said, on my train commute this morning, another commuter walked in and stood in front of me (I was seated) with her Etain Evie inches away from my face. So I had all the time to really look at the color. It really stood out next her casual attire -black parka, leggings and sneakers. The bag nearly gleamed and looked refreshing among all the other dark bags. It really is a standout casual type of color.

I returned my Gold Evie with ghw last week as I was unsure about the color with my wardrobe and skin tone. I exchanged for the Etain with ghw and I have to be honest that i was not initially wow-ed as I have it in RC and as many say, Hermes does color so beautifully that I was uncertain with the neutral. However, after finding a twilly that had the colors I wear, dressy or casual, I am now in love! Lol.

Give her a try, but if you don’t absolutely love, don’t settle.

I’m heading back to the Bay Area in a little over two weeks. I emailed my SA in PA about a GHW Evie in Noir. She says she has one - what are the chances that I’ll to be picking up yours! Haha it would be funny.

Omg too funny! Well if it really is the one I had, rest assured that she was quite loved and untouched. Brought all the way to the US from Munich.

What other colors would you be interested in? Here are some things I like about etain...

1. Can look good with dark or light outfits
2. Can moderate/blend into a colorful outfit but also looks chic with a muted neutral palette
3. The strap color doesn't hold onto lint or fur easily (I needed this due to pets)
4.. Looks really striking with GHW... I love silver/gray and gold together

Here's what I don't love about it...

1. It can look like neither here nor there... people usually love light grey or dark grey. This is kinda a shade darker than medium.
2. Just because I had the noir for a few days before exchanging it, I liked how the H was more subtle on a really dark color while still being there. It's always very noticeable on the etain.

For the poster debating etain....... I drove myself crazy trying to figure out which color to get. I have etain and it’s just beautiful. It matches with everything and (for a casual bag) still really dresses up an outfit. I have an etain pm with phw.

I know every now and then , evelynes are released with contrast straps ? Does anybody know the logistics of it or when it’s done and with what colors ? Second question , my sa told me that orange color made in Evelynes are very rare now , what oranges have you seen and which did you like ? I remember the poppyseed orange seemed like it had pink tone to it , not a fan of that . Thank you

I'm sure other members can answer the "when" portion of your question, but I bought 2 Evelyne's this year with contrasting straps. 1) Navy with a orange yellow blue strap and 2) Gold with a mustard/gold strap.

I’m now part of the « Evelyne owners club » and I’m in love with my TPM in the Abricot color.

When I saw the bag in the Hermès boutique I wasn’t sure about the color. I wanted to get a blue one, more specificly a Bleu électrique one.

What do you think about the Abricot color ?
