Ode to the Evelyne

Hi, no I don’t have one yet. I was looking to get my Evelyne as my firstly H purchase in Paris. I do have south coast plaza as my local shopping mall. I just thought it would be so special to get it in Paris. I thought boutiques were not able to order items from other boutiques. But again I’m new to H so don’t know all that much.

I hope you’re able to get it in Paris but in the event you have to try your home store, if another store has it they can request a charge send. Not guaranteed the other store would want to send though.

How do you ladies protect the things you carry around with you in your Evelyn. I'm seriously considering buying one when I go to the H store next week - it will be my very first H bag and I'm super excited but worry about the bag being open at the top.
I've checked the net for an organizer with zip but can't find one. I'd be grateful for any tips.

I’m debating between an evelyne and a Chanel jumbo single flap. I want it for everyday and to be able to use it for a long time so when I’m older. Does and evelyne work on an older lady or would I be better with the Chanel. This is a hard choice.

I’m in my 50’s and the Evelyne is my “go to” bag. I love it.
I currently own Etoupe, Black, and GOld. I’d love to find a Bleu Nuit and RC.
I also am loving the new colorful cavale straps you can buy separately for the Evie.

But - will add - the Evelyne is totally different than the Chanel Jumbo.....I own that as well and to me that is a shoulder bag.....the Evie is not.
I would equate the Jumbo with a Hermes Constance bag.

Me too. However, at the moment I'm thinking of sewing a pouch with a zip at the top... If it works out, I'll post a pic.

That would work too. Attach a wristlet strap so you can hook it to your bag so no one can reach in a grab it

I do the same thing and highly recommend it too. I feel like my wallet is much more secure this way. Similarly, I use an LV mini pouchette accessories in my Evelyne Tpm

Thanks! Choosing GHW may have been influenced by my tiny tiny regret in buying my Chanel M/L in black caviar with SHW , for fear that the gold turn lock might fade over time. I feel like GHW adds a little pop to the Evie but the next one will definitely have PHW. Not sure in what color yet
