Ode to the Evelyne

dear Evie lovers, I am new to this design and only just bought my first Evie 29 in black yesterday ...despite I have others H bags already. I have the following question and like to hear from you....

Is the interior lined as suede or it is simply unlined...either way I wonder if there could potentially be colour transfer issues if I use my Evie with other light colour leather products, eg the gris pearle bastia (evercolor leather).

I just dont want my other lighter colour items pick up the black dye. Previously, I have had issues that resulted in darkened corners on a wallet from a bag (from a different brand) with similar lining... so being cautious

Interested in hearing from other Evie users especially black Evie owners

I am surprised how much I love this bag. I have been working a lot lately and it hasn't been the best weather and for this, my Evelyne is just so easy to grab and go. Very happy with my rather impulsive purchase

I am 71 and love Evelynes. Years ago I did not like them because of the huge "H" but my life has become more and more casual and the cross body style is very handy. I see many young women in my area with Evelynes, usually GM.
I wish Hermes made it easier to order custom straps, as the older bags have shorter straps and I am mot crazy about adjustable strap...too much metal for my taste.

You may want to consider ordering a strap from Mautto.com. You can custom-order the length and color canvas (or leather) you want. Not Hermes, for sure, but also without the Hermes wait and price tag — and the quality is very good for the price.

The interior is unlined. I don’t have black but do have Blue Sapphire, also pretty dark, and have had no problems with color transfer. That said, I sometimes use a small Fourbi in my Evelyne PM, but more for organization than because of color transfer worries.

i think you should also consider Evie in black, it is a very chic option for evelyn, i dont know ... must be something about this colour that hides the H logo the best,, which is something I tend to not like on Evelyn... i see you do have other black H bags so maybe etoupe or etain? since you dont have grey yet

I’m going UV....not only is it the color of 2018, but it’s gorge. I have crocus (I’m totally jelly of your iris B just FYI), cassis and UV in my Bs, and I’m a total puddle for purple.View attachment 3951661

I’m also going to say bleu paradise...it’s such a versatile color. don’t bother gagging over the red croc, that heifer got sold!

Yes, that is what I am thinking as I don't have any grey tone

I wear the H facing my body - I like having the pocket on the outside for my phone and keeping the closure snapped and it drapes really comfortably against me that way.

me too i dont like the H logo on evie so I always wear it showing the pocket side
