Question for fellow Bolide lovers ..thinking of taking my Bolide 25 evercolour on a trip for 2 weeks ..do you think the leather is too delicate?

Definitely not a problem. I wear my evercolor bags carefree, and no issues after years of wear.

quite sad im in singapore we are a super humid country. unable to turn on air con 24/7 i wont be able to afford the electrical bills

You can send it in for anti mould treatment to Hermes spa. Pretty sure they will accept it. They will also spa the inside of the bag as part of the treatment.

The mould can spread so if you have other Hermes bags, you might want to be careful about it. Putting the bolide bag in an airtight and clear plastic bag can protect other bags but will make tour bolide bag worse than before. Using the bag then transferring your belongings to other Hermes bags is going to spread the mould to other bags.

Just sharing my personal experience and what I learnt from the spa.

I’m on the market for another Bolide 27, preferably gold and not epsom. No luck so far getting it from my local boutique. Have you guys seen or have been offered any Bolide 27 in store? Any intel would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I am by no means an expert, but based on shine, pebbling and structure, my guess would be it is Ardennes leather. I have a Bolide in black Ardennes and it looks very much like yours.
She is beautiful, congratulations.

Oh, I forgot - I have seen similar bags in Ardennes described as "Natural Sable". You might want to do a quick web search and see whether you find what you see comparable. HTH.

Thank you. I do have an Evelyne in Ardennes in the color Naturale so I’ll check. Gosh, makes me want to dig out my old Evelynes.

I have the same bag in 35mm. Mine is from 1996. I believe it is Ardennes. I agree it does not look like gold. There is a light gold color called Sport, but Sport is lighter than this color. Of course different leathers take the dyes differently. This color is a mystery.

Just an update. I enjoyed travelling with my Bolide. It got looks from admirers in France. Some even came up and complimented me. I bought the Swift bleu marine strap with that cute barenia tag in the Sevres store so it could be used crossbody.
