Very excited to be joining this club with my new to me Bolide 35. I have been searching for a while now knowing that the 35 was discontinued and finally found one that is in great shape for a 13 year old bag. The Bolide was the first H bag that I thought I wanted but for some reason got distracted along the way with other H bags. I was so disappointed when I found out I waited too long and the 35 was out of production. The upside is I saved a considerable amount of money by waiting! Another bonus is that I can use my canvas strap from my Evelyn in Etoupe. A very Happy Thanksgiving to all of you reading this, I know I will have the best day cooking and admiring my new addition

And, you have inspired me to stop thinking about another Bolide 35 and just click buy. I will share when it arrives.
Hope you had a great TG!

:congrats:

Did they give you the receipt with it? (Should be on there) I think you're probably right though.

No, sadly no receipt (but I had it authenticated). I actually bought it thinking it was a lighter green, obliging me - with much sadness - to sell my Menthe So Kelly, as I don’t want (or can afford) two similar colors in same size bag. But Malachite is so much better, it has been on the top of my list since I started dreaming of H bags :panic:

Thank you! Question on storing the bolide. Do you all store your bolides upright or laying flat on the back? I have mine stuffed with the air pillows that it came with, in the dust bag, and upright. Should I be storing it flat on its back? Thanks in advance!

I store mine with Mai Tai insert, strap and lock in their storage bags in the bag and stuffed with air pillows, lying on its back. Hope it helps.

I have a picture in my thread here:

I store my noir bolide 31 on its back in its orange box and with the crumbled paper it came with.
Placing the crumbled paper as her pillow under her handles which makes her lay comfy flat.
She is also stuffed with the air pillows she came with. I only keep her air pillows inside her.

Miss Bolide is zipped closed and her thin leather strap is on making sure strap is not bent.
I keep her lock on her too. Its locked on her side so it won’t get lost.

Then cover. Be sure not to store her in a hot room.

Laying down helps prevent her leather sagging.

During daily use I always lay her flat on a table with a small fabric pillow under her handles to prevent sagging.

If you have any more questions, I would be glad to help...

Thank you for this advice! Your noir bolide is beautiful!

I have the paper long pillow that came in the box and will use that under the handles and lay flat.

You did really well, :congrats:
Thank you! I feel like I did really well!
Love your 35! Looks great with the Evelyne strap!
Thank you, I was so happy it worked out with Evie strap!
@coloradolvr Congrats! I know exactly what you mean as I love the 35s too, and patiently wait for them to pop up here and there. I got an orange about 5 years ago resale and just got a rouge casaque 35 about two months ago. Someday I want a blue and I will be set. They are so great. Enjoy the beautiful color!
Thank you! I bet those are beautiful bags :)
Gorgeous! And, you have inspired me to stop thinking about another Bolide 35 and just click buy. I will share when it arrives.
Hope you had a great TG!
Thank you! It as a pretty quiet Thanksgiving here with no family to comply with COVID rules. Can't wait to see your new bag as well!
