I joined the Bolide club! Wasn’t a big fan of the bag in the beginning to be honest but I saw one sitting on the shelves when I was browsing the store a couple of weeks ago and you know the rest of the story. The design is so classic, timeless, simple yet sophisticated. The Clemence leather is so soft and smells so nice, the gold color is so rich, I’m in love! The twilly took me a long time to tie though. I had it on the handles, as a bow, on the shoulder straps but nothing looked quite right and this was what I ended up with that I liked best. Not sure if it’s cuz of the color of the twilly? How do the other lovely bolide owners style their twilly? I know a lot like it bare too. I’m also looking into a shoulder strap/accessories for the bag instead of the twilly so any advice is welcomed ! Thanks for letting me share!!

Stunning! It doesn’t get much better than this. That stitching is perfection.

Your Miss Bolide  is oh so stunning :girlsigh:

You did an excellent job on her twilly design. Is that one twilly?

Here is my ..journey thread.. on mostly my black beauty Miss Bolide and then she meets her new baby sister Evie :giggle:

I have lots of pictures in my thread. Feel free to browse through its pages.
Any questions, I am glad to help. I love my black and white crossbody strap.

Best of luck with your new baby girl. I promise, you will adore her so! And you will find her utterly scrumptious :hugs:

Congratulations! She is stunning! Beautiful colour! :girlsigh::love:
Gold is on my wishlist for my next bag, maybe a Bolide (again )

For the twilly, I personally just tie a bow around the handle. Here is a photo of my dark chocolate brown Bolide with her matching twilly.

oh i don't think i am expert enough to be sharing instructions lol but this youtube video was very helpful!

a couple of things to note. see how she folded it twice at the beginning of the clip so it becomes 1/4 of the size of the twilly, do that as it helps keep the twilly tight when you start to twist and will like more tidy. As for the twisting, always twist the right part of the twilling inward towards the center as it stops it from unravelling when you start criss-crossing them. as for the left side, you are suppose to twist inward as well, but she how she kinda flipped the left side around after she finished twisting the ride side of the twilling, if you do so then both sides are being twisted from a right to left motion...i hope im not confusing you lol but hope it helps. took me a few tries to get it right. show us your masterpiece when done !

Dear fellow Ladies,
I‘m about to purchase this lovely Deep Blue Bolide 31, Clemence, my first Bolide.
How are your experiences with the „slouchiness“...how does it wear?
I‘m not really sure whether I like it or not. Surely it is typical for the soft Clemence leather. Shall I better take Epsom or Evercolour?
Would love to hear your opinions, please.
Thank you in advance!

I find it’s really personal preference. Clemence will definitely slouch to a greater or lesser degree depending on the individual skin. I love the slouch but others prefer a more structured bag and if you are among them you might be happier with another leather choice.
As has been recommended throughout this forum, hold out for the bag you really want; mistakes can be expensive.

I love bolide 31s, I do like the casualness that Clemence offers but I do utilize an insert in mine. I use mai tai linen inserts which given the material does not offer a lot of structure but enough for me. Good luck deciding as that blue is beautiful.
