Ode To Swift

I've moved you question here because that thread is not for such. I'm sure lady s. can help you too but my take (with 2 large Swift bags): If a brush of a clean finger isn't enough, you can 'paint' a fine line of clear leather creme along the scratch and gently work in with a clean soft cloth (white/non-dyed brushed cotton is perfect). If that doesn't work, just leave and let spa deal with it when the time comes as you would with any other leather.
Sorry for causing trouble!
Thank you for moving my post to the appropriate thread! :flowers:
And, thank you papertiger, for taking your time to write an answer! Really appreciate it! I will do what you have suggested!:heart:

Has anyone noticed a difference for swift leather on the b this year?

The swift on the b25 is much much more matte. My kelly doll is “shiny” even though it’s also swift and shares the same date stamp. The swift on my k25 (purchased a 2 years ago) has the same glossy characteristic as the doll.

I’ve noticed the same thing with RS. I’ve been vying for RS for the past few years. All the 2019 ones that I’ve seen people share look slightly different than the previous ones, but I can’t pinpoint why.

Leather vary by each animal and not anything to do with a particular year.. Most of my Swift bags are glossy but I did have a few in very matte swift over the years.. If I didn't know better I would have thought it was barenia!

The craie swift B25 I purchased in 2017 is matte. No shine whatsoever...

Both of yours look lovely.

Both of mine are somewhere in the middle but the sheen shows up more on the darker colour (chocolate brown - 2008) but only in a certain light on the Bambou (2014). Both feel that dry-velvet texture that is so gorgeous to touch.

I think the sheen does get a little more pronounced over time and with use too.

Hi! I hope this is the right place to post. I just took home a swift kelly pochette after having a few days to decide. I wanted epsom initially but there aren’t any available. The feel and look of swift is amazing, so elegant and soft. In a pochette swift looks totally right for day or night. I do want to use the bag regularly but I’m afraid I don’t know how to care for this leather. Can anyone advise what is the best way to prevent sagging or losing its shape even with regular use? I’m keeping an air sac in the pochette now standing upright. Thank you so much!

Reposting here as this is probably the more correct thread:

I have a swift kelly 25 on its way to me. Does anyone have tips on storage? I want to void (as much as possible) the pocket imprints and massive slouching. I get that swift is soft and I want it to get that soft loved look without the indents and bending. Love any thoughts and lessons people learned to get me ready for my first swift bag!! Inserts? Storage ideas?
