Ode to Silver

The style is very lovely. I know that the galop ring also comes in a smaller size but in rose gold and with diamond. Do you know if the galop ring in silver comes in a smaller size?
mine is called the small model so I don’t think they make it any smaller in silver. The large model is actually with the horse head facing your finger tip. I know they make the smaller size in gold though, I think someone posted a mod picture of that in the fine jewelry thread.

Thanks for providing the information.
I wish they make a smaller model in silver as I am worried that the small model might be a bit heavy.
Will definitely look into the fine jewelry thread.

Hi everyone!!!! Does anyone have Sterling silver bracelets from Hermes? Do they tarnish pretty badly? I don’t wear my jewelry 24/7, I don’t wear perfume with it and no showering. I wear them once in a while and I put it away. So I want to check if I can keep it from tarnishing. Thank you

The leather CDC shrunk. The silver is also smaller but so far as I can see the full size sterling CDC is still available. The latter stacks nicely with the narrow silver CDC you pictured. I have no complaint about the silver. It's the leather CDC's getting smaller. Does that mean that the full size leather CDCs are passe?

Curiously, today I noticed that the full size leather CDC on H.com was studded even more than usual (may have to paste link in browser). Of course, price went up accordingly, but it's a new, great look to me. The leather CDCs in colors other than etoupe were all studded in silver, but not with the extra bells and whistles of the etoupe cw.

I have some H bracelets that are maybe 15 years old, thereabouts. They don't tarnish like non-H silver. A quick buff with a polishing cloth, as Ajaxbreaker suggested, brightens up the silver but I never see tarnish per se on these oldies but goodies. Tarnish to me is dark, a gray to black residue that, if deliberately induced thru a chemical application called "antiquing" is often used to highlight the artistic workmanship of the jewelry. Such jewelry usually has a more complex design -- something like flowers and leaves -- than H jewelry does.

I have 3 Chaine d'Ancre silver bracelets many years old and they have never tarnished.

Does anyone have trouble with the large model of the Alphakelly bracelet staying clasped? I love wearing it but several times the lock/clasp has come unlocked while I've been wearing it. Fortunately, I've felt it unlock before I've lost it. Just curious if anyone else has the issue and if there are any tricks to keeping it locked.

Opening:
It's quite easy, give it another try in a local boutique when you have more time and get a more experienced SA, and you would be amazed how simple it was to open.

Tarnish:
I had my H silver for years, none of them tarnished.
I do put moisture absorbent in my jewellery drawers.
And I occasionally (1-2 time a year) wipe them with a Goddards Silver Polish cloth.
That's good advice, getting an experienced SA. When I was getting mine I had trouble getting it off and asked the SA for help and she really didn't want to be bothered. But I didn't want to buy something I couldn't get off!
