Mistikat - imagine all the possibilities with a white wall as the blank canvas!

VanMiracle - yea! So happy to hear you are going to order the piece. With your artistic flair, I look forward to seeing the results on the wall.

ElleTee - how romantic! And your dear little kitty obvisouly approves too.

Now think of all the scarves I will want to buy - just because they will look good on the wall, even if not on me! Oh my!

These are all so beautiful, congratulations to all of you who have gotten the Fixation and mounted their scarves!!

A word of caution, the silk is quite susceptible to light damage, in addition to fading from UV light, the silk fibers actually become weaker, brittle, and thin. So be sure you do not have these exposed to sunlight. Also, incandescent light is better for your pieces then halogen or flourescent.

And, if you can feel the light heat on the fabric, the light is too close, the scarves mounted at Hermes will not survive more than a season or two with the backlight as it is done....

Hope you dont mind these cautionary words, I want all your carres to remain beautiful for years and years to come.

Thanks for the tips, CB! I've been keeping the curtains shut so there's no direct sunlight, but I'll watch for lamplight, too.

Oh my! I didn't think of THIS! Thank you so much for the warning. I was considering looking into a backlight similar to what they have in the stores. Now I don't have to worry about that! Phew!

 SIGH

Super easy. Unless, like me, you put the Fixation too high on the wall and have to enlist your husband's help! The scarves are released when you pull apart the magnets and the pieces in the wall aren't so far apart that they pull heavily on the scarves. Just enough to hold it gently taut.

Well done ladies they are all so beautiful! I guess it should be very simple to hang a 70cm scarf using that kit. If 90cm is 105 x 105cm, then 70cm should just be 85cm x 85cm.

Now I have to go and check with my store (Sydney) for that kit :)
