Israeli Flava, Do you find this leather stiff and difficult to open? Or is it soft and somewhat supple? I would be delighted if you able to show modeling shots for size reference!
The leather is very stiff. Not soft AT ALL. I don't find it difficult to open or use. I often pop my b25 organizer in it and go! I love it.
Darling there are modeling pics in this thread... but I’ll add some here for ease of viewing. This is a 32 and I’m 5’7. Hope it helps.

Thank you, dear! I apologize for not realizing you had already posted modeling shots. You and your bag both look heavenly!! Wear her in good health!

Thanks dear!!! Are you considering a kelly in this size???
Yes! I think the 32 would suit me well and there is one on the pre-loved market in exactly this same leather, size and color. I adore the Sellier in this shade of deep dark blackish blue. I was considering this bag in sombrero leather, so I appreciate your response and the photos!

Oh wow!!! We can be Sellier Sisters!!!
I will warn you that the lure of the Sellier shape is hard to shake. It will tug on your heart strings like a vice grip! Although I find this leather to be ultra fussy (because I am not a fan of the "character" called scratches) I still love this bag because it is simply the most beautiful thing ever! I had a lengthy convo with my SM about some of the different leathers used for shoes/boots (that is how the convo started) and eventually he was reassuring me that H can work miracles on this leather and restore it back to like-new when it is time for spa. That is reassuring but I still don't have or want a scratch on this bag ((((le sigh))) Let me know what u decide on this bag????!!!!!!!!! The GHW is stellar! I wear a ton of black and navy and this bag is perfection!!!!

Oh my goodness, i just paid for it!! I have never tried one on, so I hope the size fits me! I am 5'3". My concern is that the corners will get in the way. I have done my research on sombrero leather, and apparently it is remarkable, yet people are afraid of it due to the scratches, which I understand can be buffed out. I got an absolutely remarkable price on this bag, so it will definitely be an investment. This is an amazing color, as I don't want to add more true black bags to my collection. I am imagining the incredible deep deep blue!! I would also love to have one in chèvre retourne, but that wish is not available to me at the moment. I'll attach a photo below of a Chevre retourne that makes me drool, if it does not offend anyone here in the Sellier club!

Oh congrats dear!!! Can't wait to hear your thoughts once she arrives!
I will say this, I purchased a sellier 35 years ago and while I could carry it well proportionately, I had a horrible time bumping into things with the corners. It was also a pre-loved bag and I quickly discovered I am not a fan of that. She has since been adopted by someone else. I do not have that problem with my 32. She's just small enough to escape the briefcase look. heehee I tend to prefer smaller bags but I am very happy with 32 in this case as I typically wear this bag to work with suits so she is PERFECT. Not sure if I'd ever venture to take her to the mall. I wore her to an Hermes event (as shown in the above picture) and did not enjoy that. Honestly, too big for my needs (she's obviously not an evening bag but I wanted to wear her so bad) and people bumped into me.... but I was mostly just concerned about scratches or liquid getting on her than I was about her size. Point being, she is my perfect work Kelly.

So I just got another sellier.... in 25. The jury is still out on whether I will love this size but I really think I will... and she is a fun color so she will be worn everywhere BUT work hahahaha Cna't wait til she gets here.

I love chevre. I told you before it is my favorite leather. I'm not particularly a fan of retourne but I see how you fell in love with this bag!

Thank you so much, Ms. Israeli Flava! I hope you enjoy your new 25.

I cannot carry big bags to work, as i work in a hospital and have only a small locker to secure my belongings. So this 32 would be an everyday bag or just an investment. The price is $9500 and no tax. However, selling bags is a very tedious process and finding somewhere to sell them without paying a huge commission is difficult! I will have 30 days to examine and return if it is too big.

Wow, that's a big discount off retail. Maybe due to the tiny bag trend, there is not a huge demand for this size. Nice! So maybe the extra money you saved on the K went to the premium on the SO? Interested to see what you decide about both of your new babies =) I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE that SO beyond words! just sayin...

Thank you, darling! I completely admire your taste, Israeli Flava! You are so elegant and have a charming style! So that makes me feel much better about the Gris/pink chèvre SO. Knowing how difficult it is to get chèvre, as well as the savings on this Kelly, I am inclined to keep the SO. I love it and think it will send sparkles from my arm to my face!! I think I needed that reassurance that I had not made a misjudgment in purchasing it! It is very unique and colorful yet not overpowering. So now I just need a K32 retourne chèvre and a B30 etain for my H collection!

Thank you so much for your kind words! I do appreciate it.
One thing I will advise on.... slooooooow down. Don't get every bag today. Take your time to learn about the leathers and what size works for you etc... then learn about the colors etc.... and enjoy. I know you have stated that you are trying these bags and have a return opportunity so that is a good thing but these bags are obviously very expensive and just take your time to cultivate your collection. I know it's tempting to just hunt for what you want and buy buy buy. Don't do that. Enjoy your new Birkin and/or Kelly and breathe.... Hermes is like a fine wine... not a frappuccino. KWIM?

p.s. I have a hard time keeping my foot on the brakes so trust me I understand your passion!
