Hi everyone! Such beautiful eye candy on this forum! I would love for my next bag to be a K28 sellier in black, but am unsure about epsom, as I think I prefer the look of the natural grain leathers. I also love the look of box as it's so classic and elegant but am not sure whether it will make the bag too formal for my more casual lifestyle? I think I would prefer it in PHW also, as I think black always looks more formal/dressy in GHW. What are your thoughts? Thanks!

Kelly selliers in dark Barenia DO exist but are very rare. Other than that for smooth leather there is Box - there are a few threads on wearing a Box calf sellier casually. For natural grain there are special orders...chevre, Togo, etc.
Personally I think a black Box sellier can be worn anywhere at anytime and agree PHW is more versatile

question. is a sellier kelly much harder to come by ( at the boutique, not reseller)? from the other thread, it seems kelly SO's take much longer so i don't know if i have the patience for that option... would i have better luck in FSH this time (no sellier last time for me in 3/2016)???? Should i just let the idea go??? First world problem, i know
Sellier is produced less than retourné but not impossible. As this is a quintessential Hermès design, I find boutiques react positively to those looking for sellier Kellys.
You may also wish to enquire with your home store about the option to do a PO for a sellier kelly. It would not be customized, but may (emphasis on may) show up sooner than a SO kelly sellier. Currently I've been waiting around 7 months for my PO sellier kelly, but I haven't given up hope yet!
Hi, I just received my K25 Black Sellier in August but prior to that had been offered other Sellier Kellys in Barenia and Burgundy during this spring and summer. So it’s definitely possible! Good luck!

Hi everyone! I am waiting to be offered my first Kelly, and I am hoping for a sellier. My SA told me he thinks this holiday season so please cross your fingers for me!! My question is this - if you were only going to have one Kelly, what colour would you choose? My three favourite colours are black, gold and rouge H (or maybe bordeaux). Thanks for you thoughts on this!!
This is the worst question to have to answer because I would need all 3. Black is always classic, Gold is casual elegance. I would go for RH if it went with most of my wardrobe cos it is my fave H color.
Well, there is always the possibility that I won’t be offered any of these colours, right? That would be sad. I daydream about gold with ghw...
In that case Gold with GHW should be your first priority and your SA needs to know this.
My only K Sellier is black ghw but I have Bolides in RH ghw and Gold ghw. I can see why you're torn they are all the classic colours and for me year round. Most used of all my H bags (maybe any bag) is def the Gold Bolide.

Kelly sellier. It is a pre-loved tri color. Thanks to the reseller (Collector square is a very good reseller indeed), I got it spa at hermes and fixed some very minor stitching problem. Worth the wait and really love it!
