I do prefer this to the Burberry. It is quite elegant the way you have it styled.

Thanks for this- (sorry for off topic)- is there more than one colorblock Burberry poncho? I was able to put the poncho in my cart on their website without sirens going off saying unavailable.

You're welcome! I'm no expert on the colour block poncho but the one you attached is the only "colour block" poncho. They have other ponchos in different color ways that are similar and blanket like but not "colour block". Also, the reason you could put it in your cart is has just become available again in the last day or two. It comes available and then sells out and then comes available again. If you want one, it is probably best to get it now cause you never know when it will sell out again. HTH!!
Yup, I ended up with the mustard (officially, the "Paille") Rocabar! I honestly don't know if it suits me, but it is a lovely color. Haven't modeled it for DH yet. I fear he will be one of those men who doesn't "get" the poncho.![]()
This looks unbelievably fabulous on you, Monceau! And I love how you've accessorized it with the belt...just perfect!
Monceau: perfection!
Monceau, you look wonderful. And I agree, the colorblock Burberry has taken off, so it will be "so 2014" next year. Sigh. But mine has my initials on it, so I can't resell it. If nothing else, I will wear it with the tacit message, "Hey, I was an early jumper on the bandwagon"!![]()
OMG Monceau you look ammmaaaazzziiiinnnggg!!!!!! What on earth were you talking about at the beginning of the thread this was made for you honey! I have no doubt you managed to talk your DBF back into it!
And ITA agree with you about the Burberry - you hit the nail on the head about it being so seasonally identifiable and anther reason why I went with H since this wasn't part of any RTW season but the sellier...

Thank you for the intel- I was confused because there are posts about long waitlists and I was able to breeze through with it in my cart with the merchant ready to run my cc. I am not that crazy about the look for myself. But it looks amazing on others.
Another way off topic shopping find (sorry!) but still keeping with the "poncho blanket" (sort of) trend- these flew out of stock at LLB (this is the shorter 10" version and made in the US which is a plus):

Thank you, dear. It is already an irreplaceable part of my wardrobe.
There is a long wait list, but a few have popped up on the website. The boutiques offered a monogram option, but keeping it non-monogrammed gives one the option to re-home it later.
With the cooling weather, I've been wearing my ponchos constantlytruly. I love how warm and festive they are (especially if you wear a shearling jacket underneath). I took a picture yesterday before heading out for a festive day...
And a note . . . I wear them often with lots of different scarves. Here, it's with a doubled up Metamorphoses par Hermès mixing the Cendre/Jaune cw with the Gris Perle cw (I love this scarf design).

Simply gorgeous dear!
