Yikes, I called my store earlier and spoke to the SM, I asked him if they had the Rocabar cw 04 and he checked and said yes! I'm going Monday morning to see it:broom:

Oh, yay duna! I am interested in this blue/grey cw too as well as the yellow cw that IF modeled. Please do post your thoughts and pics of it when you can. Excited for you!

I was in Sloane Street H today and it was incredibly quiet for a Saturday.
I had a fabulously helpful assistant whose taste I trusted and had her show me all the colours in both styles , or as many as they had.
We agreed the Rouge H is the best colour for me , they had the Alamo but no Rocabar ,so I am going to (try) buy it online in exchange for Paille.
She pointed out the difference in weight and texture between the 2 styles : the Rocabar is heavy and like the softest blanket whereas the Alamo is much finer and a little more drapey . Both have the same composition 10% Cashmere 90% Wool , but the Alamo gives a feel of pure cashmere IIMO
I think the 2 styles give quite different vibes
Rocabar more boho and Alamo more sophisticated . The Rouge H Alamo was stunning as Lilith has shown , anyone thinking of a second poncho may want to consider how Alamo can look more svelte and polished .
No shades of graduation day either !

Oh, frou frou, you are describing this perfectly!! And enabling me again... ;) I just brought home the Rocobar 04. However, I also tried the rouge H Alamo and I cannot stop thinking about it... :nogood: Although I love my Rocobar, the Alamo is so different, it would not feel like "having the same coat in two colours". Poncho Mania! What has this thread done to all of us...? ;)

The CSGMs are € 895 and the ponchos € 890 - so, actually nearly the same price. But we, of course, love to say that the ponchos are much, much cheaper... ;) So cheap that we may buy two instead of just one... :graucho:

Can you please tell us is 04 more blue or gray? The US web site calls it gray, but it looks blue visually on screen.

Dear lovely64! The Rocobar cw 04 looks IRL very much as posted by Livethelake and Monceau earlier. The overall impression is more blue than grey IMO even though the biggest part is a mixture of these two colours and the tassels at the bottom are mostly grey. It IS really lovely and would be perfect for you!! Just try it, you won't regret it!! :D

Just described it above, dear Kitty S! :smile1: I was actually surprised when seeing "gris" on the receipt. I thought, I bought a blue one... ;) It is wonderful to wear with both blue or grey without giving a too blue or too grey overall picture. The "rusty" brownish part is actually a mixture of again blue and orange with orange tassels at the bottom. So this goes also perfectly with brownish-orange or pure orange. Tried this combination today and got many compliments... :smile1:
