I love cw 01, but I'm not sure it would suit me, as yellow really isn't my colour! I'm leaning towards cw 04, but I would like to try one on first...I hope my store has something, it doesn't matter what colour, just to see how it looks! I'm so lazy that I HATE having to ship things back:p
I will wear the paille with my etoupe Jumping boots and my etoupe crinolin birkin. I Think it will be a knock-out! LOL!

I saw that they call the blue anthracite on hermes.fr, interesting! It may be more grey in reality? I would love that to be true!

It looks blue to me in the picture but here is the description (if it was grey I think I would have to follow all of you down the Rocabar path LOL)

So, there are indeed two version of their ponchos. The multiple stripe is called Rocabar and the colour block is called Alamo, aka Pharell's. My store had the red CW of both and blue/navy CW of the Alamo. The red Rocabar didn't suit my colouring as there was too much orange to it.

So I tried the navy Alamo. First impression, it is A LOT of fabric! And I thought I'd hate it but surprisingly I didn't. The wool is very soft and tassels very very cute with good weight. It did leave bits and pieces of wool on my cotton shirt. I would prefer the Rocabar because it gives a bit more pattern therefore makes it less looking like a blanket. I will wait for the Rocabar in blue to come in and try again. I think long riding style boots are the best companions of the poncho. It looked very well with my Birkin 35 but I didn't wear the correct footwear today to complete the look.

Here are some mod shots and I would really like to hear your ladies' thoughts on this. Please please be honest as I would only want to hear honest opinion. For reference I am 5.4' (no heels today) and a US size 2-4 although I do wear 00-0 from some US brands. But I do have a relatively wider shoulders compared to average people in my size. Sorry about the photos' quality as they have terrible lighting in the changing rooms in the temp store.
My honest opinion is that you look great! I am your height and around 50 kg and I also have wider sholders, I Think. I will tell you my thoughts when it arrives next week. You can definitely carry it off, and with the right footwear it will look amazeballs on you!

I know! The description on hermes.fr:

Rocabar
Poncho mixte en laine et cachemire bordé de cuir de veau, coloris anthracite

Great thread and congrats on your fantastic poncho, IF - eveyone's looking super in all the various colors! :woohoo:

I had the Prussian Blue Rocabar briefly last winter. It's wonderfully soft, the tassels enchanting! But it's more boho than I am, not very practical climate-wise and sadly barenia and orange are not great on me at all. But I found two archive pics that might be useful to those trying to decide if the blue is worth waiting for.

(Bolide is Brighton Blue, Texas 90 silk from my mom)

Happy hunting to you all!

pierina2, thank you SO much for posting these photos!! And may I say, I think this looks wonderful on you!! I completely understand if it can't be justified with your climate, but just know that you would have turned heads wearing this! I'm going to the store to try this on tomorrow, and fingers crossed, I hope it comes home with me.

I REALLY agree with this. I saw a lady with a cape coat yesterday, a petite, voluptuous gal, and she looked GREAT. It's the confident attitude all the way. If you are happy "in your skin" as well as in your look, you cannot go wrong.

Yes! If one is lucky the cape will not be wearing you but the other way around, lol!
