Thanks for the info. I honestly don't pay attention to the leather, I buy what I think is pretty...and what matters more to me is the style, color, and hardware...except for Epsom, which I hate.

Thank you dear BBC I do love that bag. The seller I got it from (a supposed expert) had it listed as box calf.

When I got my medor in Tadelakt, my SA explained that Tadelakt is like swift with a sheen. It takes colors beautifully like swift, and is stiffer for structure and shape, mostly used for clutches. It is not Box as the sheen in Tadelakt will not develop patina and shine like Box.

It has that smooth, soft hand like swift, but doesn't slouch at all, at least in my bag, which is retourné.
Anyway back to clutch topic!!

Help. I have not noticed any Kelly pochette reveals in recent threads. I'm not very good at the search function. Are these around? I'm going to try for one in Paris before pestering my SA for one. Thoughts? I don't want an exotic, but I am otherwise flexible on color, leather, and hardware.

I have this wallet in two colors, the Kelly long wallet (my receipt says Kelly
Portefeuille Long, different from "Kelly Longue" which is a bag of its own). There is a shorter version of the same wallet. I have tried to use it as a clutch but you really need super slim items, i.e., your keys can't be on a holder, a big lipstick won't fit, an iPhone in a case will cause a bulge.....so you CAN use it dual purpose but just know it's a bit limited. It's great as a wallet

Thanks for the information. Thinking some more, I might be better with another Jige or KP. There will be more room to fit things. I don't want to cram my essentials in & potentially damage the leather & shape

I was offered a Kelly pochette a couple of months ago, turned it down as I wanted a bright color. SA said they're not always available but do pop up here and there.

Waiting for one more to come in to complete my collection...fingers cross.

I've been waiting and waiting for a KP and was offered the same combination. In my opinion it looks very dull with the SHW. Rose eglantine is very pale and it would have looked better with GHW. I sadly had to turn it down, I knew it was not going to fulfill my KP dreams. The wait continues...
