That's all I like to carry at night/weekends
So it might be ok
I want something simple with an understated style
Thank you[emoji4]
I have this wallet in two colors, the Kelly long wallet (my receipt says Kelly
Portefeuille Long, different from "Kelly Longue" which is a bag of its own). There is a shorter version of the same wallet. I have tried to use it as a clutch but you really need super slim items, i.e., your keys can't be on a holder, a big lipstick won't fit, an iPhone in a case will cause a bulge.....so you CAN use it dual purpose but just know it's a bit limited. It's great as a wallet :p

My current clutch collection...
Egee Glycine Box PhW, Egee Black box PHW, Jige Argile swift, Jige Saint Cyr swift, Medor 23 Bordeaux box PHW, and Kelly clutch orange swift PHW.

Waiting for one more to come in to complete my collection...fingers cross.

That's a super pretty collection, I love them all. I think your Glycine is in Tadelakt instead of Box? Just curious.

My SA says tadelakt is pretty much matte box.

It is my understanding that tadelakt and box are different leathers. They may be similar in appearance or wear but they are not the same.

Box is box, I think all those box aficionados who love their BBBs and BBKs are only looking for box. Tadelakt has certain differences. I don't want people to be confused.

Agree that Box and Tadelakt are different leathers. I have a Jige (and I think a CDC too) in Tadelakt leather. The color of the Jige is Fauve and was purchased approximately 8 years ago. Tadelakt is smooth like Box leather, but it doesn't develop the same sheen and become shiny over time like Box leather.

Tadelakt and Box are totally different leathers. Tadelakt was developed partially to have some similarity to Barenia, which is why it was made in Fauve so often.
Box is thicker and much more finished with a high gloss. Tadelakt is softer, more matte, and has a natural very slight unevenness of color that looks kind of like ripples (thus the name). I have a Tadelakt So Flash Kelly that is always mistaken for Barenia, even by H SAs.
IMO they are both fairly delicate - Box scratches more easily, Tadelakt "bruises" more easily. They are both lovely.
"Matte Box" usually refers to Chamonix, although in current production you could also say Sombrero is somewhat like a matte version of Box. However, all still different leathers.

Ah, thank you QF! THIS is the real deal for info right here!!!! Ah and I've seen your stunning So Flash, [emoji177] it does look more like Barenia, or even more like swift than like box.

When I got my medor in Tadelakt, my SA explained that Tadelakt is like swift with a sheen. It takes colors beautifully like swift, and is stiffer for structure and shape, mostly used for clutches. It is not Box as the sheen in Tadelakt will not develop patina and shine like Box.
