H forgot to give me the lilas contrast stitching I requested and carefully written on the order form of my Parme Sellier 28 Kelly GH w RT lining. This is my second incorrectly made Parme Chevre SO within the past 18 months. My romantic little kelly arrived on Valentine's Day, but I am so very disappointed.

Oh LTC, I'm sorry to hear the mixed up again. Hugs. H had one of my SOs wrong too. On the positive side, you are so lucky to have a sellier Kelly in chevre! My sellier chevre SO was declined (after having told to change from size 32 to 28) and was informed to either change it to rotourne or use other calf leathers for sellier. This Parme Kelly is stupendous!

I wonder why H decline orders for sellier chevre kellys. It's one of the best combinations imho. I now have two and I was hoping to SO for another. So many great combinations are now rested.....perhaps I should start taking a back seat with H. This is so frustrating.

It's really gorgeous! Even without the lilas stitching! Congratulations, I'm glad you decided to keep her! Is the sellier construction in chevre a little "softer"? That's what I'm hoping for and why I ordered this leather for a small bag.

You have two stunning selliers there. Sellier Kelly is my love. I was told the reason is chevre mysore is too soft to be made in sellier (notwithstanding selliers have been made in chevre mysore previously). Who knows. I am with you that I am increasingly disappointed with the direction H is going these days...
No, it was not the colour as I enquired if I may choose another colour for the sellier. As I mentioned in my reply above, the reason given was that chevre mysore is too soft for the sellier structure. I placed the order in March 2012 and was told about this in Oct 2012.
Eta : You could be the lucky few whose chevre sellier gets approved. Do update and post pics of the bag when it arrives.

. I really couldn't turn down a chevre sellier kelly and I don't think I have the patience to wait for a third bag in Parme.
My Framboise kelly was made with Chevre de Coromandel while my Parme was made with Chevre Mysore. Chevre de Coromandel is my true chevre love. It is definitely more rigid, thicker and sturdier in comparison to Chevre Mysore and hence, more suitable for the sellier kelly construction. Since Coromandel is not available at the moment, I had to choose Mysore instead. If I ever find a good condition sellier chevre kelly in coromandel at a reasonable price in a colour I like, I would never let her go.
Ms P, I know this is really disappointing, but I do believe it is much more difficult for H to make a sellier kelly using the softer Mysore skin. These days, H seems to look for an easy way out. Less boxcalf bags and less sellier kellys, etc.
Dharma If you are looking for something a little softer (than boxcalf, epsom and coromandel), mysore certainly fits the bill. Good luck with your SO and please please please post a pic when yours arrive.:okay:
