ODE to Box Calf

I was offered a Box Kelly 28 earlier this year and it was over $13K USD before tax (I don't remember exact price). According to our price thread, Epsom Sellier 28 is $10,700 USD. Similarly, when the mini Kelly II came out, chèvre was $7700 USD but the Box calf one I bought was around $11K (I bought mine in London but my SM told me the US price).

So, like Barenia, it is not a trivial difference

There is always preloved :flowers:

Congratulations and may I know how much more expensive the Box is comparing to Epsom (in % for example)? TIA.

I actually didn't manage to ask for the price of the Kelly Sellier in Epsom because I was still in complete shock on the offer, nor did I ask to see the Kelly in Epsom since it was in a dark green and I think a BBK is a classic (even though I have a 32 Kelly in Black too..)!
Looking at the price thread and doing a bit of cheeky exchange rate adjustments since there's nothing in £ in the price thread (so note that it's not 100% accurate), the Box Kelly is approx £2K more. So the difference is bigger than I expected. Hope this helps.

In Euros: Last year my Box K28 was 9100€ whilst my Epsom K28 was 7750€. So a price difference of 1350€. I am not sure what the Box K28 would be this year.

Edit to add: my B30 this year was a whopping 10400€ which I found surprising (well, shocking) given K28 and B30 prices are usually the same. Cannot imagine Box having increased so significantly but didn’t ask further.

Quick question: is it possible for the H spa to get indentation marks out of box leather? Eyeing a preloved bag in box which has a fairly sizable impression mark...
Honestly, I doubt it. The French consider impression marks as part of natural use and wear and not a defect as such. It’s a trophy mark, especially if made by a good bottle of Margeaux.
