Oh my goodness, these box beauties are sleighing me!! I have only one box bag, a 35cm SO Black Birkin that was given to me by my husband to celebrate a very special birthday. But I'm actually so concerned that it will get wet, or get scratched, that I'm reticent to carry it. Such a shame, because it deserves to be used. Is anyone else here "frightened" of mishaps with their box bags??

I never baby my bags, but I must say I was similarly afraid of damaging the leather that seemed so flawless. It's been a long time now, that I own my 32 bb kelly and she still looks gorgeous. In my opinion it's a sturdy kind of leather, but I also think any scratch gives her more character. Treaded with the Docride Method resists the rain with no issues AT ALL! Enjoy your wonderful bag and don't worry!

Thanks so much for your thoughtful response mariacarla! Did you treat your bb kelly with Docride's method on your own, or did you send it to her? I've studied her method on this forum, but I have to admit, I find it a bit daunting!

Oh, totally on my own and i enjoyed it:-)
I ordered both products online from the US and proceeded according to her advice. You are right, now when I think about it I remember I had to spend some time to crack the right order up, but it was worth it. Good luck!

I also saw on the same thread we've been just posting, LOVES shared her own waterproofing method she is satisfied with (applying the same product over several days).
Good luck and enjoy your bag. Life is too short and besides, it's just a bag, albeit a stunning beauty and fears of damaging her are understood, but still a bag:p Cheers and nice knowing you!

Great! Thanks mariacarla! I'm going to order those products, and get to work on my bag. I completely agree...one should just enjoy our bags, as life IS too short and they ARE just bags!

Oops, I edited the msg when I realized it wasn't posted on the Visitors Board, but the general thread, but glad you read it all.
Cheers and good luck again!

hfromt, enjoy your bag. It will look amazing years to come. The two beauties I posted are years and years old. And when you are not happy with any wear s Joan, spa makes the box amazing again!
