Chevre lining most likely. Some bag styles are unlined, but your description of “grainy” inside makes me think you have seen the chevre lining.

Thank you so much! I didn’t realize the lining would be a different “leather” style..for reference it is a b35 in Barenia Fauve.

I've just bought a barenia plume 28 today. But unlike other hermes barenia bags, the logo is gold instead of steel stamp. Does it happen a lot? thanks in advance.

The stamp is in gold foil as it's on the Chèvre lining, not the Barenia.

Wishes come true. Out of the blue this baby showed up on THE REAL REAL and it was in a store so I was able to call and get pictures. I am now awaiting her arrival. This should hold me while I save and hunt for a BIRKIN 35 in Barenia. I am so excited
