Hello Barenia lovers!
Does someone know if Birkin fauve barenia can be ordered at Podium?

my SA told me he spoke to the store manager and she will check at podium if she can order it for me.

i thought it was just push offer....

Barenia, and other heritage leathers, are all push items, and may not be ordered at Podium ( makes when/if you DO find it even more exciting!) :lol:

Can anyone share how easy/hard it is to get a Barenia Birkin? Do you need to be a VIP? Is it better to ask for something else first, and then the Barenia later? I was very honest with my SA that B/BF is my preference and what I’m really after.

It’s not easy because they are push offers. The bags come when the bags come and cannot be ordered. But you do not necessarily have to be a VIP. Fauve barenia B25 was my first quota bag offer. Much of it is luck. Barenia is not everyone’s cup of tea - believe it or not, some people don’t like or want Barenia. So if no one else at your store is hunting for Barenia then your chances of scoring one are better, but if you have lots of “VIPs” who want one, then it will be very difficult. Just depends.

I would just let your SA know from the start that what you really love and want is Barenia. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn’t, then be patient and there are plenty of other pretty things to get in the meantime. That’s been my motto with H and it has worked out very well for me.

Thank you for your reply, that’s very helpful. I’m at a fairly big/busy store (I’m in London) and my SA was beyond lovely and told me nobody is really asking for Barenia. They connected me with a leather specialist and we had a great time talking leather, how they’re made, durability, etc and they said that Barenia is their favorite but they haven’t seen it in the store in 3+ years. I’m not sure if that was their way of politely telling me not to get my hopes up, or just a typical thing for someone at H to say. But I am hopeful and will wait as long as it takes, it’s such a special piece and worth the wait.

Hmmm....I've seen a Barenia Kelly in London well within the past three years. That said, no, it's not a popular leather with London clientele (I am no VVIP there), so if it comes in I'd say you have a decent shot at an offer. As much as everyone in this thread loves Barenia, the overwhelming demand is for Togo and Epsom. Barenia Faubourg is more popular but that's a different thread.
