Ebene and Fauve Barenia

I’m loving the new barenia f birkin, I have the smooth in both belt and another bag and it scratches very easily but patina beautifully. BF looks grainy but as some members have said it smells like barenia and feels like barenia and it has started to darken after a few days of travel but no scratch marks like the smooth version. I was very hesitant at first because it looked like Togo but I took it home anyway and now glad I did! Good luck if you are at the store making the decisions of whether to take it or not. It’s very different to togo birkins I have especially the smell. I think it’s a very casual look as it slouches abit so I think it’s suits Birkin style perfectly.

My hg bag has always been a barenia b30. My sa and I have been on the hunt together for a while and have turned down many different barenia variations. Last weekend, my dh and I went into the store to place a so. My sa surprised me with a fauve barenia k32 “just to see” and of course once we saw her, we could not say no! My sa rung up the kelly under my dh, so my hunt for the b30 continues... until then, I will be working on that beautiful patina with my kelly.

Here she is!

I just got her yesterday and I cannot get over how beautiful she is. And that amazing smell!! It just melts me :girlsigh: I’m so excited to see how she develops her patina! Are there any specific tips on how to acquire that beautiful sheen other than regular use and love? I read something somewhere about a saddle balm from Hermes but I think it is only available in Europe?

Congratulations on this beauty! I’m on the list for her twin, but I suspect that will be a while!
I would suggest you check into Docride’s other threads on saddle leather! It’s a wealth of information and other users stories.
