^I have begged, pleaded, whined, moped, asked, nagged, pestered...all to no avail. NO barenia SO for me. *sigh*

I truly think they'd do it to shut me up if it were possible. The SM and SA say it's just not possible.

I know there was a thread that talked about it being the supplier (A very eldery gentleman and him being short staffed!) and the fact that they use barenia for trim on bags and small accessories. I will try to track down the thread. BRB!!!

They had some that they used to make a few 30 Birkins last year that were sent without warning to a few US stores. My local store got one. They didn't order it and didn't realize it was coming. Barenia shows up in picotins with L stamps, and I've seen it in a couple of stores within the last few weeks.

They just won't seem to turn loose of the leather for 35 birkins right now. I've been told that if it's ever a possibility, they'll place an SO for one for me, but told me not to expect it any time soon.

I've heard conflicting things. Has anyone actually seen one in an Hermes store in the past two years? What was the most recent date stamp was on one from a reseller? I know they were making them in 2003.

Hermes gave that Pirate Johji Yamamoto enough barenia this year to make his bags. One of his is rather large.

Actually you are right!! I saw one with a I date stamp that was the newest. But others must have seen a newer one.:shrugs:Good question!! I hope that someone can help!!!

I was offered a K stamped 30 cm natural barenia birkin last year. A few were made. The stores were told when they arrived that they weren't going to be available for order, that this was it, period, no more, and no 35s.

But there are some K stamped barenia birkins that were sold in a wave about a year ago. I think Flossyfigaro had one of them available on ebay for a bit. It took several months for my local store to sell the one they offered me.

I look stupid with a 30, otherwise it would be mine right now.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that Createurs de Luxe just had one on their website: a new one that didn't have a strange spot on the front like their other one they have been listing for a while...can't remember though if it was a 30 or a 35, however...

I would love a 35 birkin in ebene or natural barenia. Or perhaps an ebene in a 35 kelly. I actually have a 40cm barenia natural birkin. It is the only SO that took well over a year to arrive (years ago) because it was so hard to find the leather for that size. It is heavy, though, and I am not getting younger or stronger. Thus the hunt!!! This thread is going to torture me.

It was a 30...and more expensive than the 35 with the spot.
