Ode to Barenia - please show your bags and accessories :o)

I need some advice please......I currently own a VN K28 sellier and a VN B30 that I purchased from Docride. I've been planning on sending the B to Doc to push her patina to look more like the color of barenia. I recently purchased a Barenia K32 retourne from Fashionfile and am within my return window. I absolutely LOVE it even though I don't smell the Barenia aroma everyone raves about.
Anyway my wonderful SA just called that she has a Barenia B30 to offer me. I'm so torn.
Do I turn it down and keep the K32 and push the patina on the VN B30?
Do I buy the new barenia B30 and return the K32 and leave my VN alone?
I don't want to have redundancy in my collection and I want all my bags to be well used.
Oh, and I like B and K equally
Its so hard to turn down Barenia........

Whilst I am no means an expert, my opinion would be as follows
Take the B30 from the boutique, it will be a great bag and a dream for many of us in this thread.
Do not push the VN patina, and use it as a different "mood" or softer colour when you want that look.
No point in creating something when you are being offered the thing that you actually want.
If funds allow keep the Kelly, because that is also an awesome piece, but if not, let it go.
Down the line you can always pick up another one if you still want one and funds allow, but being offered a brand new from boutique item is rare.

I know Barenia is rare from the boutique and if it was a Kelly I'd say return and buy the new but to me the VN and the Barenia B30 are the same purpose in a collection. I really appreciate this perspective and i think I'm in total agreement. It was just so hard to say no to the offer. I was going to let the VN patina on its own but the very first day I carried her, someone spilled an entire cup of coffee on the front of the bag and on my silk dress as I was on the way to a party. It left several stains but surprisingly I didn't freak out. I took it in better stride than I thought I would. After all its a memory on my bag now!

My SA let it go because she also received a raisin Box B30 which she knows is my HG bag. Unfortunately it has PHW and I really have my heart set on GHW but I am going to see it in a few days before I say no just to be sure.

My SA let it go because she also received a raisin Box B30 which she knows is my HG bag. Unfortunately it has PHW and I really have my heart set on GHW but I am going to see it in a few days before I say no just to be sure.

I am glad that the dilemma has been resolved for you.
Your boutique certainly seems to be receiving some lovely pieces, a new Box as well as Barenia, how exciting.

I wanted to share my little barenia family. I bought the two wallets last spring from Docride. I have been using the small zip one everyday and love it to pieces. I throw it around don't baby it at all. I love the marks and patina. The bearn I haven't used yet because I find the other so convenient. I may think of rehoming her. The Kelly is my new love and I haven't removed the security tags yet but I am looking forward to using her on a regular basis. She will be my most used bag I'm sure. I think starting with the wallets was a great way to see if I can handle this leather. Thanks for letting me share.

I also adore Picotins. They are very under the radar & have a presence!
It is a good way to introduce myself to Barenia
I love traditional Hermes leathers. They are a foundation to the line

OT - Go see the raisin!!! It is stunning! I almost bought this exact bag but just got a Constance in the same specs and allowed reason to prevail

I just came from seeing the Raisin box B30 PHW and although it was stunning and a very tough decision, I left without it. My heart is set on the GHW and I will wait longer if need be. Ive made too many costly mistakes with bags the last few years.

Back to topic.....barenia is never a mistake for me!!!!
